“Appalling Ablutions, Filthy Fridges, Small Pitches, Little Shade”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

We stayed for 3 nights over New Year 2013 there was a large group of us, 15 in total.
At check-in Sandy at reception was not very welcoming and proceeded to tell me my pitch would only be big enough for 4 man tent despite not having stipulated that there were different pitch sizes when I booked. When I queried this she said you can go and check before you set up if you want - and then what exactly??? Fortunately our pitch was big enough for a 6 man tent but not for our pergola and given the lack of natural shade this was an issue.
The ablutions block at the back of the park should be gutted, it was filthy and cannot have been refurbed since it was built. The block next to the jumping pillow is a bit better.
The campers kitchen was OK but the fridge and freezer both need a good scrub.
There are 3 gates into the camp, 2 of which are shut at 8pm which is good but both open out onto the road and there is no child safe gate which you would expect as a basic feature on a family campsite.
Jurien Bay is lovely and the new jetty with the jumping platform is great. The location of the park could not be better with its proximity to everything but it needs some serious upgrading.

Room Tip: Powered sites seemed bigger but if you have small children be aware of the open gate to the road.

We were originally booked in to stay at the Pinnacles Edge Resort in Cervantes but after they messed up our booking we phoned the camp site at the last minute and they had a chalet available. Wow, brand new chalet with lazy boy chairs, all mod cons, exceptionally clean, right on the beach and half the price of the so called resort in Cervantes. Sherry was very welcoming and gave us good information on where to eat (local Tav was a good choice)and where to visit. All in all we found Jurien Bay and surrounds to be friendly, beautiful and we can't wait to return. Will definitely book chalet 22 again.

The reviews for this caravan park were generally appalling so I approached it with trepidation. For no reason. The service was reasonably personable but business like, the chalet was lovely and clean, very close to the ocean front, and the price not unreasonable given the WA habit of charging above market rate for anything and everything. Overall a pleasant 2 night stay.

We stayed in a powered Caravan sight ight at the front of the park. Staff were fantastic & very helpful. You can take your dog so perfect for us. Have the jetty close for fishing and a nice little beach for swimming.

Room Tip: Gets pretty windy so ensure you have a wind break

just had a week in Jurien bay at the caravan park. Great place friendly staff, had one small issue that was dealt with promptly. Old tired ablutions but very clean. Yes Jurien is a quiet place but that suits us, we holiday to relax and get away from rat race.

Caravan park is ok we had a camping site which was tiny (despite being told it was large!), cramped in (had to park elsewhere) and with no shade so unbearable in the daytime. Staff seemed helpful with the exception of Sharon who is extremely curt in her dealings with customers, avoid her if you need help!
Jurien has little to do there- thank goodness for th on site. Lunch pillow - a saving grace for the kids!

Started off. A mixed up booking. Apparently our fault (of course). Got abused because of it then later onDaughter and another family member arrived late as driven from Perth. Wasn't told about late arrival time after telling them of the late arrival (go figure) . As soon as my daughter arrived she and friend were given the 3rd degree on who they were and where they were staying and that we should arrived hours earlier. There was No "hi I'm the manager can I help u". Then threatened that we would be kicked out before we even entered the park. We were Ordered to pack up and move on at10pm by 8am the following morning. The manager advised she had taken abusive calls all afternoon. We totally got the brunt of it, I say u shouldn't be in this type of business and take the hint lady with the abusive calls perhaps u are the problem. I could go on but its not worth my time. Service and value is in the minus. We read the reviews and thought nah can't be that bad, I think our review tops everyone as ours is the worst. This place let's jurien bay down, I will be complaining to the local authority strongly suggesting to change management......
