We stayed for 3 nights over New Year 2013 there was a large group of us, 15 in total.
At check-in Sandy at reception was not very welcoming and proceeded to tell me my pitch would only be big enough for 4 man tent despite not having stipulated that there were different pitch sizes when I booked. When I queried this she said you can go and check before you set up if you want - and then what exactly??? Fortunately our pitch was big enough for a 6 man tent but not for our pergola and given the lack of natural shade this was an issue.
The ablutions block at the back of the park should be gutted, it was filthy and cannot have been refurbed since it was built. The block next to the jumping pillow is a bit better.
The campers kitchen was OK but the fridge and freezer both need a good scrub.
There are 3 gates into the camp, 2 of which are shut at 8pm which is good but both open out onto the road and there is no child safe gate which you would expect as a basic feature on a family campsite.
Jurien Bay is lovely and the new jetty with the jumping platform is great. The location of the park could not be better with its proximity to everything but it needs some serious upgrading.
