Because we have vowed NEVER to return to a very disappointing Mitcham Hotel, we thought we'd try Bucatini which is only about 300 metres down Whitehorse Road - and we are very glad we did!
We came here years ago when this place was known by a different name and frankly, wasn't much chop. However, it's now a very good restaurant. The menu offers a broad choice, the food is well prepared and presented and the service is of a high standard.
It's an Italian flavoured restaurant but there's plenty of choices to suit everyone. We had entrees of oysters and calamari, followed by Spagetti Marinara and Gnocchi Gorgonzola. Our meals were fresh and tasty - and (according to my Italian wife) they were cooked the traditional Italian way.
The restaurant has a pleasant 'up-market' feel which is reflected in the pricing. It's not expensive but certainly beyond what you would pay in your local pizza/pasta joint. All in all a very pleasant experience. We will certainly be back.
