“Fantastic holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

We camped here for a family holiday in September and had a fantastic time. The location is amazing, the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and everything we needed was right there. We all chilled out completely :) I am surprised at other's comments....we found the staff, especially one girl on reception, to be really helpful and happy. Thanks for a great stay and we'll be back next year! The kids are already asking "when can we go to Bargara again???"

Yes the location is good but that would be all. The staff are the rudest laziest staff I have come across apart from one lovely girl. You would think being a family owned and run caravan park they would take more pride. We were stayed for over three weeks and the whole time the TV didnt work in the camp kitchen because they were to lazy to buy one single adaptor. The camp kitchen is the worst I have seen with the hot plates broken and yes once again they were to lazy to buy a new one. The washing machines are a disgrace, paying $4 a load which is standard these days and my clothes came out smelling and dirtier than what they were when they went in. The clothes lines are half broken and been substituted for bits of weak twine. The toilets and showers are disgusting, half of them either broken or missing locks, a hand dryer that doesnt work. I could go on and on. Overall I will never return to this park, unless they put some bloody woirk into it. With the amount of people coming through this park you think It would be better.

As a family we were all excited about our trip to the Bargara Beach Caravan Park, that was until we arrived there! As we walked into the cabin, I realised we had made a mistake and all the picutres we had viewed of the cabin, on their website was not as we had expected! We were greeted with a cockroach on the bench and surrounding that was cockroach poo! I did go down and speak to the manager and she did say they had never had a cockroach problem ever in the cabins before and promptly went to the back and came out with a can of cockroach spray?! .....and following on from that, one probelm after another. The fans in both rooms did not work, they did say they would get an electrician in, the kettle did not work, the tap was missing a part and was embedded in cockroach poo. There was mould in the bathroom too. We did take photos! It is a great spot to have a caravan park but the cabins are run down and not looked after. A great pity...because it is a magic spot! After staying for five nights (not seven as we had booked for) and just not being able to handle one more uncomfortable night there, sadly and reluctantly we packed up and headed home. The manager, which at this stage..... did not look happpy had agreed to refund our last two nights (as we had paid for seven and only stayed five) ,without an apology. I still feel strongly about this and am still sad we had to cut our holiday short for a cabin that was absolutely not worth the money charged and was uncomfotable and not clean.

I have listed this as Jan 2012 , hubby and I were there the previous year ( forgot to list on Trip Advisor)
Last minute accommodation for us . The cabin was right on the waterfront , inside though small and the stove a little dated the cabin was very clean .
Who is to complain when we sat on the little verandah to watch the most brilliant sunset plus up early to witness one of the best sunrises ever plus the tranquil sounds of rolling waves splashing on the rocks over night .
Heaps of vans pulling in .. So must be popular ... Staff very polite & attentive .

Love going to this park at Bargara Beach, we have been going here for 3 years now, beach is straight across the road. Even thou it is a huge park it is quiet. My boys love the freedom of riding around and making new friends. The staff now know us on first name basis, they are all very friendly. Good clean and well maintained!!!! Would recommend 100%.

I have been to this caravan park many times simply amazing being right across from the beach. Staff were very helpful and always willing to help weither it be picking a restraunt for our family to suggesting a cruise. It was lovely we stayed in a cabin right across from the water was lovely falling asleep to the crashing waves and waking up to the waves and the birds. I would strongly recommend this park to families or even couples the park is so diverse to suit anyone.

My kids and i have travelling right up the east coast of Australia and staying at Bargara Beach Caravan Park was by far the best choice we made. The Park is located right on the beach, It has a fantastic playground that i could not keep my kids away from and the serenity was second to none. I would just personally like to recommend this park to any families planning on travelling to the area. The cabins are right on the beach and my children had an absolute ball, playing in the park, running on the beaches. It was a great weekend and i cannot wait to go back. Thanks Bargara!! See you again soon :)
