“The bread was good!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2014

Not much else to speak of. The fish was over-cooked. The service was slow and unprepared for "people coming in at the same time" or, as we call it, "dinner time".

“Amazing food at affordable price!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2014

I was so impressed from walking in the front door it feels very upscale. Great atmosphere. The food was amazing. We had the crab dip served in a sour dough bowl, yum. I had a salad with homemade ranch...wonderful, and Salmon with the orange glaze was cooked to perfection and served very hot. We were so delighted that we came back on Monday night and they were closed. Will definitely go back!!!

“Simple, Historic and Adequate”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014 via mobile

When looking for a decent restaurant in Orange on a Sunday evening you're choices are somewhat limited. Luckily, the Silk Mill Grille was open. We were promptly seated and provided a menu with an average variety of dinner entrees that would suit most hungry diners. We chose the the sirloin steak and the salmon with the Jack Daniels glaze. First, the salads were excellent with homemade dressings. The steak however, was a bit undercooked but otherwise fine although rather thick. The salmon was prepared perfectly being moist and flavorful with the addition of the Jack Daniels glaze. Both entrees were about $16 each. The atmosphere was rather industrial offering a glimpse into the history of the building and the supporting role of the silk mill during WWII. The service was fine with the server checking back with us several times. My more exact rating would be ***1/2. Worth a try!

“Good to Very Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2014

Interesting place, with good menu. My one visit was enjoyable and the food was good.

It is surprising to walk inside and see how big this place is! One of the biggest restaurants I have ever seen in a small town.

It occupies a building that was formerly a silk mill built, I believe, by a Northern entrepreneur.

Good prices, but some items such as filet mignon are typical of other locales.
