My husband and I have been to many great B&Bs but this one tops them all. I felt like I was at a 5 star luxury hotel in this 4-bedroom inn. The innkeepers made you feel like you are a special guest in their home. The decor was sophisticated yet homey. The property was set on 15 acres of rural heaven with chickens and roosters to boot! The Inn was close enough to James Madison's home that you could run over and see the house and be back for wine and cheese 2 hours later. The wine and cheese course set out at 5:00 was very special and set the tone for the rest of the evening. Thank you Elizabeth and Jay- we will be back again and again. I am already planning a family weekend retreat for my extended family.

My fiance and I are getting married at the Inn next summer, so we decided to take a mini-vacation and spend a couple of nights there for some R&R and wedding planning. Elizabeth and Jay are the most gracious hosts you can expect to find, and I haven't been able to stop saying wonderful things about our stay here. The first night was my fiance's birthday, and we went out to Restaurant Pomme in nearby Gordonsville. After we got ready and came downstairs, we found that Elizabeth had printed out directions to the restaurant for us. We came back to a lovely turn down service, and a special box of Gearheart's chocolates for his birthday. The breakfasts both mornings were amazing, and they were very accomodating of my dairy-free diet. They gave us complimentary tickets for tastings at Barbousville and Keswick vineyards, as well as discounted tickets to Montpelier, and complimentary wine in the afternoon.

I just can't say enough about this place - the hosts, the food, the accomodations, the bath products(!), the landscape were all tremendous, and we cannot wait to share the biggest day of our lives (so far) with our families at the Inn. Thanks guys!

We have just returned from the most superb weekend at Jay and Elizabeth's Inn at Westwood Farm - from the moment we stepped inside their very welcoming Inn it was non-stop hospitality - good wine, great food and their attention to detail (and their guests) was second to none. They are truly marvellous hosts with all the "local" information to hand when it was needed. The property is beautiful - we enjoyed our walks to visit their chickens (who had laid our eggs for breakfast!) and their horses, who just love their home-made biscuits! Our restaurant bookings were taken care of too, with directions waiting on our dresser on arrival - nothing here is left to chance. We came home totally refreshed and with a promise that we will definitely return!

Very hospitable innkeepers - this is more than an historic bed and breakfast. There are many extra personal touches - plush bathrobes in every room, oversize tub and shower, your choice of beverages brought on a tray outside your room before you wake, appetizers and wine before dinner as well as an excellent breakfast. Lovely grounds as well as a front porch with rocking chairs, covered table outdoors and plenty of places to take a stroll. Very quiet except for a wimpy little rooster who can barely be heard in the AM. Only complaint is that I would have preferred a larger bed.
