“March 2012 Getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2012

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Inn at Westwood Farm! I can’t say enough good things about our experience and highly recommend it for a peaceful break... there isn't a single thing that I would change about it. The house is picturesque and lovely. Breakfast was amazing. Jay and Elizabeth are welcoming, super friendly, and couldn't be more helpful. We had never stayed at a B&B before and so a bit hesitant at first, but they helped us feel perfectly relaxed. You can set your own pace... there are plenty of things to do nearby and other ways to pass the day if you want to be more leisurely. We cannot wait to return!

We took a road trip through Virginia, West VA., North and South Carolina, and Savannah, staying at B&Bs the entire trip. Inn at Westwood Farm was our first and by far the best of the entire trip. Too bad they set the bar so high! The accomodations were beautiful and VERY comfortable, the breakfasts were awesome, but the innkeepers really make this place memorable. Elizabeth and Jay are the ultimate hosts, extremely warm and friendly, full of information and suggestions spiced with wonderful humor. We felt like old friends from the first moment we met and hated to leave two days later. It's proximity to Monticello, Montpelier and wine country make it great, but we could easily have just spent the time relaxing on the porch. And their recommendation of Paladio Restaurant was the best meal of our trip. We live outside San Francisco and know good food but this was a cut above. Thanks Elizabeth and Jay for reminding us why we SO love Virginia!

Room Tip: Every room is lovely but we stayed in the "blue" room -- sunny and a restful view of the p...

We recently stayed at the Inn at Westwood Farm and could not have been happier! Jay and Elizabeth were so accommodating and very knowledgable about the area. They recommended many activities and places for us to visit as well as some great restaurants. Their home is beautiful and the breakfasts we had were delicious. We will definitely visit again!

We stayed from Monday - Wednesday with my mom, and it was the perfect get-away for a couple of days! The drive-in was absolutely beautiful with the surrounding farms and views, and there are many interesting sites to go and visit! Jay and Elizabeth both provided superb hospitality, with incredible attention to detail and care, and the breakfast in the mornings couldn't have been better at a 5-star restaurant! On top of that, they were both very knowledgeable with where to go for everything from dinner, to entertainment, and more. Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone looking for a little patch of heaven out in country-side Virginia!

We stayed at the Inn on a weeknight to celebrate our anniversary. The innkeepers, Jay and Elizabeth, are warm, inviting people with a marvelous ability to make you feel at home. They know the history of the house, and can tell you what they did to make it the comfortable, relaxed place it is now. The Inn's decorations and ambiance are subtle and very well-appointed. They fixed us a snack and a drink before we left for dinner. Our room had big beautiful windows, a very comfortable bed, and the shower had fantastic water pressure (and lots of hot water!!!) Our breakfast included fresh eggs from their hens, a really nice fruit and yogurt parfait, and great coffee. I would stay here again and again, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling through this part of Virginia. Thanks, Jay and Elizabeth, for such a nice evening!

Room Tip: All rooms are corner rooms so pick one with a bathroom configuration you like.

We have just returned from our Golden Wedding celebration trip to Virginia. We stayed at Westwood Farm and so enjoyed it. Although we had only one night (our only regret!) we left feeling we had been friends with Elizabeth and Jay for years. The situation of the Inn is perfect for country lovers, and Montpelier is a short walk up the road. Orange itself is a lovely little town , and only a short drive from Dulles Int. Airport.
If you get the chance, please visit this wonderful, wonderful Inn and the lovely Elizabeth and handsome Jay !,
