“Avoid this motel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2013

Have stayed in this motel twice in the last couple of months. The first time, they ignored our request for a large family room and put us in a standard room. It was way too small for our needs but was clean nonetheless.
We decided to try it again and books in for Christmas night. This time we were adamant about booking the large family room depicted in a photo on their website. We were told this was a suite and we agreed on the price and made our booking.
Arriving on Christmas Day, we were given our room key and found we had again been put in a standard room! When we went back to reception to sort it out, we were told that there were no suites available. After much haggling, we're were given a 1 bedroom apartment at a reduced rate. A kind gesture, however still overpriced for what it is. Curtains missing, bedside clock and lamp not working at all, air-con that emitted a strange noise every few minutes (even when turned off). Cigarette smoke infiltrated the room somehow (with all windows closed) from the owner smoking outside, there were no bedside lamps in the second room. Overall, a very poor effort, extremely outdated and tired decor dating back to the 80s. On the plus side, the room as basically clean and the beds comfortable. We couldn't wait to leave though.

Stayed here for one night the check in staff were happy and helpfull the rooms spacious and basic but functional. The day was very hot and they had already turned the air con on for us. The only issue I had was the shower was fixed spout in the corner of the shower and had really bad water preasure... Other than that good budget stay!

My wife and I spent 3 nights here whilst visiting our daughter. Booked through Wotif, price was reasonable at $115-00 p/n but didn't get any breakfast. Reception staff were welcoming and pleasant, room was spacious but basic, facing the railway line and main road. Bathroom was also spacious, as was shower cubicle with adjustable height shower rose and clean and modern. We own a motel in S.A and tend to compare against our property. That said, the bed was quite hard with very thin linen and the bedspread had seen better days. A good quality mattress topper and some better linen and pillows would give guests a much better sleep. A room at the rear of the motel away from the main road, train line and morning sun would also be a hint for first timers at this motel. Overall a good motel and I would stay again, the close proximity to the shopping centre and train station is a real plus.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the motel, on the western side, if you like a sleep in.

Trying to find a family room for a long weekend that included One Direction, the Grand Final and the Fleet Revue proved difficult until I tried our old favourite, the Penrith Valley Inn at Penrith.
Family rooms were booked out but for a little extra, we booked the Wentworth Suite.
I think it was 1 x Queen, 1 x Double and a Double sofa bed, perfect for our 2 teens.
It's a double room, so lots of space.
Great location close to shops, restaurants and the train station. Friendly service and surprisingly quiet.

Room Tip: Wentworth Suite is perfect for the larger than usual family.

A good, clean basic motel. Good prices and good rooms. A bit worried at the start about getting onto the highway back to Penrith but this was easily done. Recommend to anyone. Maybe a restaurent on site would have been a nice touch rather than having to go out.

I stayed in the motel with my family for 3 nights, attending Sydney EBGames Expo.
***Overall impression***: The motel is good enough if you don't demand too much, so I would recommend it even for families with children (age >3 years old)
***Pros***: The most apparent benefit of the hotel is its location - near Blue Mountains, yet easy to drive to Sydney (1 hour driving to Blue Mnts, the same to Sydney). Shopping centre and other venues are within walking distance. As previous people said, the staff were great.
***Cons***: 1) No microwave in the room. 2) WiFi is not free, and quite expensive. 3) Not enough lighting in the room. 4) Windows are not open-able (you can open only very small window in the bathroom). 4) Highway is in front of the hotel, so sometimes there is noise from there (didn't disturb us though). 5) Other guests are sometimes smoking in front of rooms entrances, so you can smell it a bit. Anyway, see my Overall impression above.

Booked in here for a four night stay for futsal tournament. Value good, location brilliant being very close to the stadium and large shopping centre. Rooms clean, but a bit outdated. Shower very small, hard for 6'3 son to have shower. Kitchenette unit had everything that was needed. Room facing memorial ave so quiet, no road noise. Free Wifi would be a bonus for teenagers so mum could chill!
