“Great experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

We chose Featherdale because it's not just a zoo. It's a wildlife park where the wallabies wander freely, as do many exotic birds. The wallabies hold your hand while you feed them. You can also interact with and feed the Koalas and some of the larger kangaroos. It has such a wide variety of beautiful (and ordinary) birds, bats, and native animals. Because we are not from Australia, this is exactly what we wanted to see. We spent over 3 hours there and loved it. Fun day. Easy to get to from Sydney.

“A great place if you want to be close to the animals”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2014

Visit this park was a great experience, better than visit the zoo in Darling Harbour in Sydney. You can take a train and a bus to get there and be close to the animals. I could touch wallabies, koalas and feed kangaroos. It was amazing. My great discovery was the Tasmanian Devil. So cute. I really recommend to visit Featherdale if you are in Sydney.

“Animals encounters”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2014

this privately own park is well maintained and established. priced at $29 an adult, we decide to go in to take a look. whole day koala encounter is surely a bonus, and there are farm animals to be pet, alsp kangaroo country which have free roaming kangaroos. huge amount of birds, eagles, hawks, falcons which is seldom seen in other wild life parks.

well worth the money, spending 2-3 hours easily In the park. will go again, good for kids for exploration.

Hi there,

Thank you for visiting Featherdale and for taking the time to share your experience. We hope you enjoyed meeting our animals. Our raptor collection is one of Australia's largest privately owned collections and we send many of our birds to other wildlife parks and zoos around the country to assist with their own breeding programs. We hope to welcome you back to Featherdale when you're next in Sydney.

Kind regards,
Kellie

“Great start of a day trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2014

On a transit pass day trip I stopped into Featherdale Wildlife Park just after it opened. Great experience to visit with the Australian wildlife. While it may seem a bit expensive at first, you will be drawn in by the animals and the ability to interact with them. Maybe not as a fancy as other nature parks, or what you could see with locals, but still worthwhile. Easy transfer travel from Sydney. Families with smaller children could spend a day at the park with the many activities.

“Great experience with Australian wildlife”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2014

Before going, we thought that this was going to be a tiny private sanctuary, but it took us 4-5 hours to get through. They have an extensive collection of Australian animals and many opportunities to learn about the animals through keeper talks and feedings. We enjoyed feeding wallabies, cuddling with koalas, and watching the Tasmanian devil get fed.

You can get to the park on a train from Sydney followed by a 20min walk. Food is available but vegetarian options were very limited.
