“World famous Duke's”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013

I wanted to eat here after I heard Jimmy Buffett's song "Duke's on Sunday". Duke's is hard to find by GPS because it is located in the Honua Kai Resort (on the beach in the back). We went for breakfast. I ordered the oatmeal with mango and brown sugar and wheat english muffin. My husband ordered the standard egg, potato, meat and sourdough toast breakfast. The waitress got the order wrong and I got sourdough english muffin and he got the wheat toast. It was still good though. You can watch the ocean, birds, or the people coming and going on the boardwalk. Duke was an actual person. His accalades are located all over the restaurant.

“It's ok, if you like their other restaurants you know what to expect”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013

TS owns this, Hula Grill, and Leilani's. If you like those you know what to expect. We went during happy hour and drinks were ok, so were the specials. Tried their fish and chips. Just ok. Nothing to go crazy over.

Good if you are staying at Honua Kai and don't want to cook or leave the property.

“Consistently the bottom of the TS chain”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013

OK, it's not a bad place. They do a great job bringing in Henry Kapono, so I guess I should stop there, but I can't. It is funny how one thing can irritate me but it does. They make the worst Mai Tai's. Picky? Yea, thats right. In three weeks I consumed more Mai Tai's than would be suggested by any physican.....in a lot of places. Duke's was consistent. Bordered on tasteless and watery. Of course, thats just my opinion and those of my spouse and friends. Had lunch and dinner and the food was OK. The entire sitting policy is screwy. Long story.Would I return? Yes. I believe in forgiveness and second, third and fourth chances.

“Birthday breakfast!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013

We had breakfast here on my birthday, it was fabulous! The veggie eggs benedict was really good. Wish we had gone back for dinner. The location is fantastic, right next to the beach
