“Huge Beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014

White sand, lots of food options and a tank. There is easy local transportation or rent bikes from Dick and Kathy and bike there. I enjoyed the more secluded beaches more.

“A Slice of Heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014

Playa Flamenco (Flamenco Beach) was a little slice of heaven. This was exactly what we pictured when we booked our "escape from the world" to Culebra :) It is hard to have any worries when you are sitting on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Clean and inviting blue water, gentle waves, white sands. Just amazing!

*Tips:
*If you prefer a little more space and a little bit of a quieter spot (like we do), when you reach the beach turn right and take an extra 5 minute walk AWAY from the entrance that is closest food stands. Many people congregate near the main entrance and the amenities. For us, it was worth the extra walking time to have a little more space/privacy.

*Be forewarned - the bathroom "facilities" should be described as "minimal" at best. Bring hand sanitizer & tissues if you plan on using them. That being said, I can't even take a star away for this lack of facilities. The beach is just to beautiful to rate less than 5 stars!

Enjoy!

“Best beach ever!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2014 via mobile

I am actually still in Culebra..Will be leaving tomorrow..been here since last Sunday. This has been the most beautiful beach I've ever been to. The sand is white and water is crystal clear. It looks like glass. You can swim very far out and still clearly see the sand beneath you. I went snorkeling on a tour in Tamarindo beach which was awesome. I also did some snorkeling on my own at Flamenco Beach and it was spectacular as well. My only bad comment would be about the bees that are all over the place. There in the water, the sand and the food kiosks. Culebra is a must see place. I only mentioned Flamenco, but Zoni beach is another beautiful beach on the island, but it's more secluded. You won't find any crowds here. It's well worth the visit.

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2014

Breathtaking. Weekends are crowded. Go during the week. Decent snorkeling to the left and the right of the beach. If you're staying overnight stay at Villa Flamenco Beach. Juan and Violetta are awesome!

“Beautiful beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2014

This beach is absolutely beautiful. The water is nice and clear, and there is an area that you can do snorkeling right of the shore. It gets crowded around 11:00 am which is the time the ferry from the main island arrives. We found that the best time to go is early in the morning which there are less people or after 4PM (The ferry leaves at 5PM) Also, you can rent 2 beach chairs and 1 big beach umbrella for $15.00 for most of the day , until around 4:00 PM. Don't believe when they tell you it is the whole day since it happened to us and them at 4:PM he "kicked us" out because he wanted to leave. The beach has food service from several different kiosks where you can get beer and water to hot food and also they have fresh water for rinsing the salt water off. They have bathroom facilities which I will not recommend to anybody.
