A group of 8 of us made reservations at Fufu on a Wednesday night. It's a quiet time of year, and we knew that, so we were not surprised to have the place almost to ourselves.
As many of us are in the restaurant industry, we should have asked ahead, but it was somewhat spontaneous that we asked for a chefs tasting menu. We just couldn't decide on entrees and thought it best to leave it to the chef! We were expecting "family style" to share, but instead we were presented with beautiful plates in a six course meal. Everything, and I mean everything was delicious! We loved the curry fish and the mignon over rice was soo tender and flavorful! The dessert was amazing, although they said it was fried cheesecake, it tasted like fried lemon cake-amazing!
We also enjoyed the selection of South African wines, it was quite a treat to try some unique and interesting food and drink, with a similar style to puerto rican food.
We really enjoyed it, the waitress was very accommodating, the ambience beautiful, and the food was excellent!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write your review! I am very grateful to have had all of you guys visit. I think it was more gratifying for me than for you guys. The fact I wasn't prepared for a tasting menu that night made it so much more fun. Putting together all of the dishes, blending contrasting flavors and diversifying with the textures of each plate was really very exciting for me. I did my best to pair the flavors of each dish with your selection of wine and apparently hit the bulls eye. Cooking for you all was my pleasure and thank you for allowing me to express myself through my food nothing is more gratifying for me in my kitchen. Thanks for visiting! Hope to see you again soon!
