Hubby and I stayed for 1 week from Sept 28-Oct 05. We were actually booked for Iberostar Mojito but changed our minds on that resort at the last minute and TRULY PLEASED that we did! We've been to different parts of Cuba many times but this is the only Cuban review we've done. Quite frankly, it's comparable to Sandals in Varadero food-wise but with a lovely, homey feel to the place because of the employees. All cheerful. All helpful and no one with their hand stuck out for a tip (which makes you tip them more anyway because you really want to) Nice place just like Paradisus in Holguin. Met lots of other travellers who frequent Melia Cayo Coco 2-3 times per year because it's so great! Really, you can't go wrong travelling as a couple to this resort. BTW we did see the rooms/food at Iberostar – if you don't have kids with you, choose Melia instead – you'll be glad you did. Just book it, you'll be fine.
