It had been years since I went to Foxy's on Jost Van Dyke, so when friend suggested we take the boat over for the day, I prepared to be disappointed -- knowing most memories are better than any reality. But Foxy's Taboo was just right: decent food [fresh grouper; yummy salads, choices of hummus and med. grilled veg for the vegetarians among us].
Of course, friendly service helps a lot. And then there is the small detail of an idyllic location for a casual place to have an outdoor lunch, shaded from the tropical sun but not missing any of the breeze of the gorgeous views. It is on the beach in a spot on the little island where more people sail in than drive.
One quibble: about uncovered up swimsuits in the BVI at restaurants, bars -- but then maybe that is what the Taboo is about in the name. Fashion Police would be acidic about the bikini wearing however....
