“Very Cozy and Inviting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

We were greeted by Winston when we arrived. Very cozy and beds were very very comfortable. Loved the view. The bedrooms were very clean and spacious. In the morning the owners came over for a chat and visit which was very nice of them.

We were greeted by Winston and he delighted us by being very warm and welcoming. We were shown our lovely 'blue oasis' room with a view of the harbour, and private ensuite bathroom in glorious apricot (what fun!). We felt at home immediately. It just so happened that it was the first night of the Fish, Folk and Fun Festival and the sign was lit the night we arrived with fireworks and live music right next to our home.
We stayed for 3 nights and had opportunities to sit around the breakfast table with other guests sharing delicious food (quiche one morning, blueberry waffles the next!). Sat on the front porch with a glass of wine and just enjoyed the neighbourhood and the view.
Would go back in a minute!
Thanks, Wins and Wavey!
Paula and Alex

Room Tip: There is a cottage available as well as three harbour facing rooms...not sure about how this works.

We enjoyed our stay at Hillside in Twillingate. The rooms were very clean. The bathroom was huge! The hosts live next door and most willingly fill you in on activities and attractions in town. What I appreciated was the polite sign at the entrance asking guests to leave their outside footwear at the door. This makes a huge difference in keeping stairs, hallways and common areas clean. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic - enough to keep you going until late afternoon for sure!
