“Second visit dissapointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

The hotel itself is still lovely but they are building rooms outside the hotel near the road, We didn't feel safe here so asked to be moved, the receptionist worked very hard to accommodate us and eventually found us a room upstairs. Still very clean and food is very good.

Room Tip: ask for a room in the hotel.

For some time now I've been working in the area occasionally and have chosen to stay in other hotels closer to work. Persuaded by colleagues last week I went that extra mile and stayed in the Gwesty'r.
Well, all I can say is that I've wasted a lot of times in alternative places when this hotel clearly is the best there is, for the price and location.
The room was well appointed, clean, quiet and comfortable. The facilities in the hotel are modern and well laid out.
The bars are cosy and the staff very welcoming, being friendly without being over familiar!

Will I return, yes every time!

We have eaten here many times on a Sunday.
It is extremley popular and its best to reserve a table.
One Course £10.95 approx. which is fairly steep but it is worth it.
3 different meat on offer, countless veg and delicious gravy.
Its served as a carvery.
they always have homemade rice pudding on offer too.

We visited the hotel's restaurant for Farther's day lunch, the food was outstanding and was met with great customer service. The staff are very well trained and professional. Everyone loved the interior design of the restaurant, which was done to a very high standard.

I definitely plan on going back there again with just my girlfriend - the environment is ideal for both families and couples!

Took the whole family (11) to the Gwestyr Emlyn on Sunday. Great home cooked food. the Cauliflower Cheese is a must and the meat is cooked to prefection. Great service and the Hotel has a real upper class feel to it.

Just returned from a three night stay at this gem of a hotel, we were fishing nearby and this was a perfect base for us. The first greeting at reception was very welcoming and gave us and immediate feeling that nothing was to much trouble and this was evident all throughout our stay. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and the rooms are well appointed with excellent facilities. The standard of food and service in both bar and restaurant is wonderful and very welcome after a few hours on the riverbank. All in all a great place to stay with the staff being the icing on the cake. Can't wait to return.

If I have got it right the header is - 'Best Hotel'. Spotless, clean, well appointed, good food - but the staff make it. From the first greeting by the the receptionist every one was polite, friendly and helpful. At the top was the waiter Tom who was excellent with his service and manner. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.
