We were in the area to visit friends and thought we'd bring our kids here as the website looked great and sounded like they had put a lot of thought into the layout so gave it a go knowing it was going to be the most expensive soft play we'd ever been to.
Bearing in mind we went on a wet Saturday (probably one of their busiest times i know!) I can honestly say it was not the experience we had hoped for. Although we expected it to be busy, It was utter chaos, the noise from the kids alone was deafening, it was overcrowded in my opinion, there was no seating available from which to watch your kids and it was far too busy to leave our kids to get on with it (ours are aged 6 & 5), they would have got lost in the play frames which are huge, fine if your kids know their way around but not so much if they don't. While the only seating our friends and I found was in the actual dining area, this meant my husband stayed with our kids following them around the whole 2 hours we were there. Even though he kept an eye on them whilst trying to give them a little freedom, they still got lost once and luckily as we'd told our daughter not to leave her brother alone she'd gone to fetch a staff member but was quickly spotted by my husband who'd tracked them down again. Every couple of minutes the tannoy system would alert you to another child who had lost a parent. Far from a relaxing or enjoyable experience.
Otherwise the centre looked clean and tidy, there were plenty of staff around and each one i happened to speak to was nice and friendly. The food was nice, a little expensive in my opinion but much better than some others we've been to and lots of choice.
Although our friends didn't have children, they were still charged along with us, which I thought was a bit cheeky considering they didn't even go near any equipment and even spent money on food whilst there.
It's a shame it was spoiled by how busy it was, could the management possibly restrict numbers for the enjoyment of those using the facility, I'm normally happy to pay a little extra if something is worth it but this was way too expensive for what we got. Our kids are super easy to please and love going to soft play but i think even they felt intimidated by the noise and overcrowded nature of this venue.
