“A real treat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

We went to Nutters today for lunch today. It was our first visit -but it will not be our last. The food was exquisite, and the service was straightforward, unobtrusive, efficient and pleasant. The presentation of the dishes was excellent (I especially liked having to set fire to my own 'DIY crème brûlée'!) - but it was the quality of the ingredients and the exciting dishes that really stood out. We were pleasantly surprised by the prices -which I would judge was very reasonable for fine dining.

“sunday lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

First visit to this restaurant and I was really impressed, in a lovely setting.
Sunday Lunch was excellent and reasonably priced for the three course meal with petit fours and coffee.
The staff were courteous and helpful, will definitely return.

“In Nutters own words ...More than a meal , an adventure ...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Myself , my partner and 2 friends lunched at Nutters to mark a special celebration. The interior had been comprehensively refurbished since our last visit and much of the gothic splendour has been replaced with low key , but classy contemporary decor. The changes are definitely for the better .
We enjoyed very reasonably priced and good quality champagne in the bar whilst ordering our food.
We opted for the 6 course surprise tasting menu which comprised amuse bouche , soup , two starters , main course , dessert , coffee and petit fours.
All the food was truly sumptuous and beautifully presented . Our friends felt that having two fish starters was 'fish overload' and when this was mentioned to the waiter he immediately offered to replace their second fish starter. Within just a few minutes a delicious lamb dish arrived as replacement.
The dessert tasters included sticky toffee pudding , creme brulee , strawberry cheesecake and bread & butter pudding accompanied by a walnut ice cream. These were simply spectacular ! (See photographs)
The meal was rounded off with fresh coffee and petit fours.
All in all , we enjoyed one of the best meals we had eaten in a very long time and will most certainly be returning.
Excellent food , professional , courteous , knowledgable and friendly staff and beautiful surroundings make Nutters a must for anyone who enjoys good food.
The total bill for 4people for the 6 course tasting menu , champagne and two bottles of good white wine was £273 which represents excellent value. Very well done Nutters!

“Just outstanding”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

We arranged a Sunday lunch for the family to celebrate a special anniversary. This was our third large family group event at Nutters and, as usual, the team made it really special. The food was outstanding, the service stunning and the bellinis and wine were perfect. Calling Rod in advance to discuss the wine choice is a great idea ... he will make sure that he has everything on hand.

Nutters is not a cheap Sunday lunch, but this is definitely one case of you get what you pay for. We had a great afternoon and were able to eat and drink at a leisurely pace. The team are always prepared to go that extra mile to ensure your event is special. Outstanding!

The restaurant is located in some beautiful grounds and has a nice patio area ... useful when it is a nice day ... ok, it is in the North West, so there aren't many of those ..;-)

“Top quality food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

First time at this restaurant - not the greatest impression from the car park and the reception area is a but muddled - doesn't know whether to be ultra modern or traditional!

However once u get to the food there can be no complaints - we had the tasting menu and every course was superb!

The flavours, the presentation just can't be faulted - all made with good quality ingredients

Will definately be returning soon!!
