We stayed at the Hotel in April for 3nights for a wedding.
I must say we found the hotel to be fantastic. Very clean and such friendly staff. The rooms were lovely, quite up to date. Our only problem room wise was the TV. Sky One (one of the more interesting from the choice) did not work.
Couldn't ask for more to be honest. The grounds are stunning. The bar is very nice.
My only overall problem with this hotel is the heat. The whole hotel seemed to be a bit too hot for the whole stay, and the breakfast in the restaurant is small for what you pay.
All in all, a great stay and will deffinatly come back here again.
Handy thing is the number 17 bus from outside the hotel will take you right into the City Centre of Manchester and deliver you back to the hotel. for this it cost us just under £4 for a whole days travel into and around the City Centre and back. No need for the car untill we left.

The hotel was looked a bit drab and boring, i was suprised to find out it had RECENTLY had a make-over as it wasnt very nice inside. I have been to old fashioned B&B's with more style.
We were there for a business trip on Valentines night and had to eat our dinner in the company of loved up couples- this was a little sickening, but humourous at the same time.
The food was great, the rooms were cosy and my bed was really comfortable.
However, the security was questionable on the bedrooms and you had to put your key in a holder to enable the lights and heating to work. But at 4am i didnt want the heating on, but i wanted to be able to have the lights working if required... so i had to boil all night! How old fashioned is that set up???

It's probably the best Rochdale could offer, so i would suggest only staying if you need Rochdale. Other then that... choose somewhere else!
