“Best place to eat in Rochdale!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

This is a great little gastro pub, tucked away down a lane, but only minutes from Rochdale town centre. The food is really good, with a nice balance of pub grub, more modern British cuisine, sandwiches and salads, plus an ever-changing tapas menu. The lumberjack chips and jalapeno scrunchies are great! The decor is really nice, there's a nice bright conservatory area, the atmosphere is good, prices are reasonable, and there's a good selection of beers, ciders, and wines. I really like it here.

“Traditional Style Pub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2012

Traditional style real ale pub where patrons can drink their way around the world in beers if they choose! Old fashioned decor, very full of memorabillia, traditional bar. Large outdoor area with plenty of seating, partly used for Boules. Great atmosphere, nice hosts and lovely food. Steak was cooked to perfection. Would recommend.

“Good lunchtime pub fare -well above average”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2012

Called in for a brief business lunch will colleagues. All enjoyed well presented tasty pub food mostly salads and wraps served by pleasant staff at a reasonable cost. Difficult to find and as other reviewers have commented, no easy local parking but worth seeking out if you are in Rochdale -which is nowhere near as bad a place as reputation would suggest.
