We tried Thai Thai on opening night. There had been no 'grand opening' so we were one of only 3 couples in this large and beautifully decorated restaurant. When a restaurant opens with huge fanfare and promotion you often end up with a packed restaurant and an over worked kitchen, which leads to problems. The team at Thai Thai obviously wanted to start small and allow them to get things right. And how Right they were!
The service was of course fantastic, the staff all knew their stuff and the drinks were brought promptly and their was no pushyness with the menus.
The menu is fantastic! It is not 'cheap' food, it is in-expensive top quality thai food. It is Tapas in style but the portions do not suffer. My girlfriend and I shared 3 starters and then had 2 curries each with our own rice. We could have eaten more but that is only due to how beautiful all the food was. We we're certainly full and very happy at the end of our meal. We ate until we were full and ordered what we wanted, we let the drinks flow and it still only came to just over £40. The free brandies at the end only added to the experience. I would have written a great review anyway!
