“A Warm Welcome At Kingsley Lodge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2012

We stayed at Kingsley Lodge In March and selected this particular hotel because of the excellent reviews posted on Tripadvisor. We weren't disappointed. We stayed in the Diamond Suite which has wonderful views over the unexpectantly large gardens. The decor in our suite was, what I would class as, modern classic and was of a very high standard. Indeed the decor throughout the hotel was faultless. When we commented on this to Jeremy and Cliff (the owners) they admitted that they had a slight obsession with decorating! Our suite had a DVD player, and we were invited to help ourselves to selection of DVD's from the library. I thought that this was a nice touch and indicative of the attention to detail that makes this establishment stand out from the rest. Breakfast was a feast and easily one of the best that I've eaten in ANY hotel. In short, wonderful hosts, comfortable beds, fantastic decor, great food - plan your visit now! What's stopping you?........

Room Tip: Pack your glam rags if you intend to eat out in nearby Alderley Edge. You'll be eating with WAGS...

The Kingsley Lodge surpassed all of our expectations. When we arrived, we were met by Jeremy and Cliff, who helped us with our bags and brought us into what looked like a home out of an interior design magazine. Our room was a large suite that overlooked a spectacular garden and grounds and the privateness of the neighborhood the Lodge sits on was really spectacular.

We were visiting our son, traveling with our two girls, and we absolutely loved being guests of this gem. The breakfasts were all made to order with lots of care by our wonderful hosts, who also acted as tour guide and travel agent. They were very friendly and helpful and we hope to go back and see them again next time we are in England.

Awesome experience all around, beautiful gardens and landscaping, gorgeous interior spaces lovingly decorated by its owners and wonderful made to order breakfasts to start our day each morning. We can't wait to see Jeremy and Cliff again, who felt like friends by the time we left. Thank you guys for helping making our trip so wonderful.

The secret of this place is the friendliness and perfect attention to detail of the owners, Jeremy & Cliff. Six luxurious rooms, regularly refurbished, beautifully furnished, the most comfortable beds, fantastic bathrooms, and perfect standards of cleanliness. And all that followed by a spectacular and tasty breakfast. I have now stayed at Kingsley Lodge six times over the last 12 months, and always try and book well in advance to ensure I have a room - there is nowhere I would rather stay in the whole of the South Manchester area (and I had multiple disappointments before I found this ideal home away from home).

My wife and I spent a weekend at Kingsley Lodge for no other reason than we had a chance to get away from it all, and we took it!
Jeremy and Clive are superb hosts. They made us feel wonderfully welcome and provided just the right amount of care and attention.
The hotel itself is extremely well presented and fitted out, with large communal areas, an honesty bar, large selection of DVDs and a beautiful garden with lots of wildlife.
We were given a choice of rooms and chose the 'Gold' room due to it having a bath :-)
The room itself was large, very clean, with a flat screen TV, DVD player, clock radio, free Wi-Fi etc, tea and coffee selection (one of the best we've had in a hotel) and a huge bathroom with both the aforementioned bath and a large shower. The room also had a private balcony.
Breakfast was included in our room rate and was cooked to order, with the choice of cereal, fruit salad, juice, tea, coffee and full english, as well as a delicious little fruit compot to start.
We would recommend Kingsley Lodge without hesitation and, whilst we don't normally make a habit of visiting the same place twice, may well make an exception in this case!

I have stayed at Kinglsey Lodge many times over the last 5 years, and everything has allways been perfect. The decor is beautiful, and the standard of all the rooms is extremely high,(I have truly never managed to find fault anywhere and I have stayed in all their rooms) the only real differentiation between the least and most expensive rooms is the size. The owner/managers are extremely friendly and welcoming - they will go to extreme lengths to make you feel comfortable and happy, and also they remember my likes and dislikes between visits - it is more like A Four Seasons Hotel than a B&B really. (and therefore unbelievably good value at the price.) For me it is the best thing next to being at home; - it is the only time I look forward to travelling for business! I would highly recommend it to anyone, for any reason - just go and stay there, it is the perfect place to stay whether for business or pleasure - a great experience all round!

This was my second visit to Kingsley Lodge and it continues to surpass my expectations! Upon arrival we were shown to our room (the Platinum Room this time) and were presented with a complimentary bottle of chilled champagne to welcome us back! The room was immaculate - there was not a mark to be found on any of the walls, carpets, furnishings etc and it was that clean you'd swear you were the first guests ever to use it. The rest of the hotel is of the same standard and looks as if its been lifted straight from a style magazine! The attention to detail within the room is second to none and as with the rest of the hotel no expense has been spared with the decoration. There was a 42" plasma TV, DVD player (there is a well stocked DVD library available for use) There are a couple of CDs provided in the welcome booklet, Molton Brown toiletries, a selection of magazines. Tea and coffee making facilities, a decent hair dryer (according to my wife) secure parking and one of the best cooked to order breakfasts i've had in a good while. Fresh fruit, fresh juices and tea and coffee, a choice of cereals, toasts and even cupcakes! Jeremy and Cliff (the owners) provide the warmest of welcomes and their local knowledge of restaurants, pubs and things to do is invaluable. In short, outstanding!

Room Tip: The platinum room has views to the front and rear of the property. There is no bath in this room, b...
