“Convenient and pleasant for airport stopover”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2014

This is a very good alternative to the bland and overpriced hotels at Manchester airport if you are looking for a stopover before a flight. Smart, comfortable and quiet rooms with free parking and wifi, all at an excellent price. The bathroom was perfectly clean, but rather more functional than stylish. Just a 10-15 minute drive to the airport. By staying in Wilmslow you have a good choice of restaurants within walking distance, not forgetting the attached pub which is popular with locals and also serves meals.
We will return when we need an airport stopover again.

Brilliant stay and welcomed with a smile which is always a rarity these days. Had dinner in the attached pub and it was good value and top quality. Breakfast was equally good in a relaxed environment.

Just used the restaurant not the hotel; food was very very good. Very impressed.

Nice and relaxing environment however still has a bit of a 'chain' feel to it. Not really a problem though.

Good Guinness too (needs to be poured slower though).

All in all very impressed. Would definitely come again.

Never been before for Sunday lunch - we had a table in the lovely new Conservatory area which was very light and airy. The menu choices were very good, though we all opted for the Sunday Roast. The meat was delicious, cooked beautifully and most impressive were proper roast potatoes, rather than the sad frozen affairs you get in many places. Friendly service, good desserts and excellent beer rounded of a thoroughly enjoyable Sunday. Would definitely recommend and just what Wilmslow needed.

Very clean, excellent location, good sized beds and rooms, well priced, great staff service. Breakfasts not the best in the world, but pretty reasonable. By far the best hotel of its type in the area. Have already booked for next month.

Room Tip: Back of the hotel is very quiet, although the front isn't too bad either.

Arrived on a very wet evening in January to a warm welcome from the receptionist. A problem with the printer meant that a receipt could not be printed but this was emailed next day as promised. The room was fine, although the TV did not work (broken ariel at the back). Free wi-fi was a bonus and was fast enough to watch iplayer anyway.

Had a drink in the bar in the evening - staff were very pleasant and nice atmosphere in the bar area.

Breakfast in the morning was a little disappointing. Poached eggs were nice but no butter on the muffins made then very dry. Guess I could have ordered something else or put butter on myself.

Stayed here for 2 nights and found the location excellent for my partner to go to work and for myself to walk(8mins) to the station, catch the train(20mins) and go shopping in Manchester. There is a car park between the Coach + Four and the Lodge where you can park for free. The room was spacious but lacked toiletries, was very clean, had tea and coffee and free WiFi.
Breakfasts in the pub were great with some very tasty choices. We also ate evening meals there on both nights, the menu quite varied and the quality was brilliant. The pub was very busy on both evenings and had a great atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again.
