First time I have ever been to the Riflemans Arms. It was recommended to us and I now do the same. Modern decor, plenty of seating, lovely out door area where they do BBQ's.
Sunday lunch is carvery style and is excellent. Choice of gammon, turkey and pork. Huge portion of meat about 5 slices! Proper homemade Yorkshire pudding, lovely selection of veg, savoy cabbage, red cabbage, carrots, mashed carrot and swede, new pots, Fab roast pots covered in herbs and perfectly cooked and the best cauliflower cheese I have ever had when eating out. Good selection of sauces and nice gravy. The only thing I could possibly say isn't A1 is the stuffing, its packet stuffing, but that really doesn't matter.
The lady who I think must be the landlady/manager was very helpful, couldnt have done enough for us.
Sunday lunch is £9.50, £5.95 for children.
Yes its more expensive than other places in the area but you get what you pay for.
cant recommend this place enough. 10/10 to the chef.
