“Great place and great people”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

First time we have been, i really liked the atmosphere and the people. We tried the bit of everything option, which was nice though i definitely need to get back and try a few of the main dishes. Good old fashioned home cooked grub.

“Mighty Meze”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

We booked not knowing what to expect but were very impressed with the interior of the restaurant it was spotless and traditional in looks. We decided on the mixed Meze when we enquired how many courses we were told Till you say STOP!! The food was fantastic everything cooked fresh and piping hot. The lady chef asked us to sample a chicken dish cooked with feta cheese and bacon it was lovely.
Hellas seems to be getting very popular so would suggest booking as there was only four empty seats on a Sunday evening.

“Corner of Greece in Handforth”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

We went for Father's Day lunch, although the restaurant is normally closed for lunch they opened especially for us. It is small and intimate but authentic. The menu is pretty extensive and includes all the traditional Greek dishes. The food when it came was delicious with generous portions - and was supplemneted by an extra dish that the cook wanted us to try. We thought we might skip deserts but were treated to the Greek tradition of a desert on the house.

As a bonus the maitre d'hotel kept our 3 year old grandson entertained. We will certainly be back

“This is a gem of a restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

First visit last night, and there will be many more. What a great place - this family run restaurant is wonderful; great people; great food; great atmosphere and spotlessly clean. We too, had the meze, not being sure of what was what, and at £18 it was really good value. It was lovely to see the lady chef appear from the back bringing food she had JUST cooked and she was visibly delighted to receive praise for it. This is definitely recommended and as it isn't a large place it may be better to book. We went Tuesday night early, and it was packed. They absolutely deserve to do well here!

“Cracking good evening”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

Its a small restaurant so booking is essential for busy times, we arrived and first impressions were of a very clean and tidy establishment, but on the cramped side, don't expect to be alone.
We ordered the meze for three, but were told that as our daughter was only 10, meze for two with a few extras would be ample. How right he was, even with a couple of dishes that weren't to our liking we were literally bursting at the seams by the end. All washed down with a litre of house red. The bonus was a live musician in the corner, and even a plate or two smashed on the floor.
