Last visited the Honeybee a few years ago and was really disappointed. Read a few reviews today and decided to give it a second chance. Very pleased its been taken over and definite improvements can be seen to the decor and seating outside and most importantly the menu!
I opted for the sunday roast turkey with all the trimmings and they did not scrimp on the portion. Lots of meat, roast potatoes, veggies, even roast parsnips and lashings of gravy!!
Totally stuffed with no room for dessert and no 'hard sell' on this either!
The rest of my party went for the sunday roast beef or the hunter chicken. The roast beef was reported as good but not as 'value for money' as my turkey. The hunter chicken came with a delicious smelling bbq sauce and clean plates were left by all.
We sat outside as today was a freakishly great day and unexpected too!
Only 1 small negative was the food did take a while however the restaurant was full and they were certainly not serving 'ping' food (microwaved meals) so you should expect to wait a little longer for freshly cooked food.
Definitely recommend it and i'm definitely going back
