second visit to this place. this time was particularly busy due to a a big family party with lots of kids and mums all jostling for space at the buffet - more like a stampede. the shop layout doesn't lend very well to increased number of guests.
on the plus side most of the clientele are pakistani/indian etc which is a good indicator that the food ticks all the right boxes for a seasoned palette.
Food - good selection of staters which are very spicy ! Equally good selection of mains and rice dishes . Meat portions really ample which is good. Desserts are limited to three choices compared to the rest i.e. kheer with or without nuts and sweet rice - there is a fruit salad which can get over looked easily. food is hot and staff regularly refill.
staff - understaffed and under pressure looking stressed and running around like headless chickens - but then it was busy
ambience - needs to improve - it was draughty and we were seated in the middle of the restaurant. tables and chair need a good scrub in my opinion. Larger parties take up the rear. its a narrow setting as seen in the picture - be careful when carrying your plate back to your table or you might end up tipping over someones head. more bowls and side plates please .
Buffet is all you can eat - but easier said than done . best way to enjoy is not to pile your plate high but to have a three course meal and choose selectively. Try and over load your plate and palette and you will end up regretting it.
service - rated poor cause we had a booking for 8pm but when got there we had to wait and our name wasn't on the list ! waiters were grumpy but who can blame them.
