“Takes the word Economy to far”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013

Our room was the room from hell! it was dirty and smelly. The blinds on the windows did not close properly and were filthy, as our room looked over a main road we were aware we could be seen from outside as there were no curtains. The carpet was heavily stained to the point you stuck to it. The small en suite was dirty, scared to use the shower as the tray was heavily stained and had another persons hair in it. Even toiletries were left from the previous customer. The pillows on the bed were un usable so stained and smelly we could not use them. The worst thing for us was having to go down a flight of stairs and boil a kettle for tea and coffee this was offered in polestrene cups the fridge was old and dirty very wary about using the milk.As we stayed 2 nights,we could not leave as payment was taken upfront the bed was not made on the second day nor was the room cleaned. I would strongly recommend you do not visit this hotel if you are on a break as the hotel appears to offer rooms to the short term homeless as well.

Room Tip: Dont go there

the rooms are rotten,
the bedroom furniture is ancient,
the bathroom is mingling,
the window sills and window frames are little rely rotting away,
the breakfast is poor, they don't serve bacon, but they serve sausage, so what the hell is in the sausage as they don't serve pork in this hotel
the female cook was late twice on the run and just laughed it off as if it wasn't her concern
no tea facility in the room, you have to use a corridor by reception with polystyrene cups
the telly is a portable about 20 inch and about 20 years old
the place has an unpleasant odour, it basically stinks
and the coup de gras was a mouse trap on my window !!

Room Tip: stay away,, unless you are a contractor roughing it, give this place a wide birth !!

Booked double room for £60 the bed could barely be called a double with hardly any room for two people. The place was smelly, dust everywhere, bathroom was mouldy and looked like it hadnt been cleaned for a long time, room felt like entering a time warp with the most disgusting decor I have ever seen. They had an old style TV which did not work and no freeview box, Staff on the front desk were very rude speaking in another language and looking very disheveled.Best thing about this place was leaving it..

This hotel is the worst I have ever seen, the Asian chap on the front desk stank of BO! And the room was just terrible, filthy carpets, white sticky stuff all over the TV (which was pre ww2) and hair and stains on the bed sheets. The place is filthy!!

So bad was it I demanded a refund (£79.99) In my view this hotel need taking off booking

Went across the road to the best western and got a lovely double room which was spotless for £55.00 including breakfast

Room Tip: Yes do not stay here!!!

>Pro's
Me and my family recently stayed here, i was originally shocked with some of the reviews on this site , we found it the hotel clean and the staff were very very helpful, location is ideal ,close to ilford station. Our room was a big family room, laundry and was towel were crisp clean and white and a brilliant value for money,
>Cons
if someoen was expecting a 5 star hotel for this money they would be a little disappointed

Stayed for one night and was not impressed.Rooms are cold and the toilet and shower are shared in the corridor with no locks . Dining room is small and your always watched which is uncomfortable . Took ages to check in repeating myself constantly due to a massive language barrier. Breakfast is a joke one beef sausage beans one egg a hash brown and two toast no bacon THIS IS ENGLAND
