My second lunch here, and it seems to be getting more and more popular.
As someone else has mentioned it, I must say the white bean veloute with ham hock amuse bouche was delicious! My non pork eating partner had shaved truffle subsitituted for the ham.
I started with a duck egg, asparagus and pork belly. It was delicious and quite big for a starter, but I found the pork a bit dry and tough. A beautifully moist chicken breast was my main, and like many of the dishes here it was bursting with fresh veg and herbs.
I'm recovering from major abdominal surgery, and unfortunately I found myself too full to order a dessert. £18 for 2 courses was exceptional value in this charming venue.
