“Clean Comfortable and good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012

A very enjoyable stay at the Brent Hotel. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms and certainly a good location with easy access to public transport, and just a short walk away from local bars. restaurants etc. Overall, just how a good B&B/ small hotel should be.

We were heading for Wembley for the FA Trophy Cup Final to support York and wanted to stay close to but not in Wembley and found this little gem. Easy walking distance of Preston Road tube station so easy to get to Wembley, city centre and Harrow and on a few bus routes for the area too. A very clean and presentable place, friendly staff / owners. We had a room on the top floor, loft conversion and was well planned out, with great ensuite facilities. Just perfect for a 1 or 2 night stay. May be a bit too tight on space if staying for longer as no lounge area for residents. Breakfast was typical continental which was lovely. Great supply of different cereals, breads, croissants, pain au chocolat etc. This and drinks were all serve yourself so you could have as much as you wanted. (Breakfast was included in the price). I have marked down on service as the Breakfast room was very small and when all tables were being used it was a struggle to get to the food and drink. This room could be made bigger, maybe use the bedroom next door which I guess would not be good to sleep in with the kitchen next door. I would return and do recommend.
I also marked down on sleep quality as the room was very warm even though the radiator was not on. We slept with no quilt on us!

needed a hotel to spend a night in London - we were going to the city centre on our first day but wanted to go to the Warner studios on the next day, so, I didn't want to be in the centre. That hotel was nice and had everything we needed. 24 hour service, less than 10 minutes walk (rather5) to preston road tube station. Rather clean. All sorts of rooms (we needed a double, a twin and a single). The only problem was in the morning - the breakfast room was rather small and over crowded. But nothing serious we had our breakfast and the people working there were very kind and happy to help.

We are the repeat customers from Canada. We like the atmospher of this cottage type hotel that has : clean rooms, polite staff, close to restaurants, tube station and various bus services. We will stay again when visiting family in London.

The hotel was quite small, however didn't spend much time in there only to sleep and have breakfast, spend 3 nights here mainly to get to wembley arena.
Rooms were clean, comfortable and basic just what was needed. Rooms quiet and beds comfy, so will get a decent nights sleep.
The breakfast was ok, we paid for cooked breakfast, which was very basic tastless and full of grease, the room was literally like a kitchen/diner at home watching the chef cooking. We had the continental breakfast for the remaining of the stay. While we was there, the chef was also the receptionist, he was they only guy there to serve everybody in the mornings, there were a few more staff in the evenings.
We were able to order a pizza to the hotel and allowed to eat it in our room.
So pros and cons.
Hotel is close to wembley arena, 15 min walk to preson road tube station (2mins on bus, bus stop just outside), then next stop down to wembley.

Next time we go to an event at wembley, I wouldnt come back here, I would stay closer to wembley itself, but if you are on a tight budget, it will do.

The Brent hotel is a small hotel outside London. However, you are in London with the Tube (via the Preston Road station, 15 minutes walk from the hotel) and close to the Wembley stadium.

It's a very quiet hotel: we didn't notice there were at least 7 other rooms booked until the first morning when 7 other couples/families joined us for breakfast. The breakfast area, rooms and corridors are quite small. However, a couple and a small kid (3yo) can easily sleep together in the big bed. Although small, we can easily move in the bathroom (that includes a shower, a sink and a wc, all clean when we arrived). Given that we were there for London and not to stay in the room, it was ok.

The big disappointment came from the breakfast. It looks like everything is canned and nothing is fresh: cheese portions in plastic wrapping, bread from the plastic bag, jam also in plastic bag, juice from the cheap bottle, even coffee tasted a bit of plastic.

In summary: good value if you only sleep there ; avoid the breakfast if you can.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are very quiet. From the second floor, you can see Wembley.
