My friend lives in Harrow and booked me into Best Western Cumberland. The hotel is strategically located in the centre of Harrow's shopping streak. However, the stay was terrible. I was travelling singly and opted for a Single Room. The Room appeared to be smaller than a closet. Very small indeed. I felt claustrophobic. The hotel has no elevator and no porter. You would have to chug your luggage up the stairs. The stairs are also very steep and carpeted which makes it more difficult.
Each room again has a step just when you open the door which can be dangerous and risky when you are with luggage. The staff is also not quite helpful and rude at times. I asked that they should prepare my bills in five minutes while I pack my bags and come down. They say they will only check me out when I come down.
When I checked in, I specifically asked that I need Wi-fi access to stay in touch with my office back home. They say its working but when I tried, i found out that it was not working for 2 weeks. The Wi-fi signal is also very weak in this hotel.
The hotel passages in the room area is also very small and smells.
Overall, its very cumbersome to live here. No good view of the streets.
I never knew that Best Western could be so low.
