“Friendly Top Quality Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Enjoyed dinner bed and breakfast here on a Travelzoo deal the week before Christmas Comfortable clean room in the contemporary wing. Dinner was superb with very professional and attentive service and breakfast was also good.. So glad we found this gem of a hotel and will certainly be using it in the future . Decorating the hotel with furnishings and Christmas decorations from a Laura Ashley obviously works since we called and bought more decorations from the Laura Ashley shop on the way home! A lovely building and grounds right on the edge of London

Room Tip: We had an executive double but I think they are all good We were on the ground floor which meant you...

Booked this hotel as close to friends. The service is amazing and the rooms have been decorated in lovely Laura Ashley colours and fabrics and are a very high standard. The bar service was great and the breakfast amazing.

my partner and I recently stayed at this lovely hotel whilst on a weekend trip to London. Ideally located just outside London borough but close enough that the commute is pleasurable not arduous. The old Manor House is a sight to behold and even tho we were accommodated in the more modern extension it didn't take anything away from the whole experience. The room was spacious, very clean and tastefully decorated as you'd imagine from a Laura Ashley hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable with warm bedding and very plush pillows. The bathroom was of an ample size and again very tastefully decorated. We even picked up the courage to try the state of the art electronic toilet and to say it was an odd sensation is an understatement . All staff were very friendly and helpful with smiles to match, Just what was needed after a stressful drive from Wales. Although we didn't dine much at the hotel the breakfast we did have was exceptional, plenty of choice and made to a high standard. If I had one little complaint it would be the price of drinks at the bar. Maybe coming from where i do makes me a little naive in how much I should expect to pay but as I wasn't there for a drink fuelled weekend I guess this could be expected. Overall I'd highly recommend this hotel if you're after a quiet hotel with a touch of a class and value for money in fact we're already looking to plan our next stay here next year.

Thank you, Neil M, for your great review after your recent stay at Laura Ashley The Manor, Elstree.

It is really great to read that you found the Hotel to be ideally located for exploring London and that it isn't that hard to get in to the City using the main line trains or the Underground. I am also pleased that you enjoyed our room. The bedrooms in the newer part of the Hotel are more uniform in shape and size in comparison to the Main House but are all individually decorated by Laura Ashley. I am also glad that you found the team to be welcoming and helpful - without them the Hotel doesn't work! Thank you for comments regarding our drinks prices. We do check our competition regularly and our pricing is in line with the local area, however, we do serve our spirits as doubles which may have pushed the price of your drink up. Single measures are available and this is published in our bar price lists.

Thank you again for your comments and I hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you back to Laura Ashley The Manor, Elstree in the New Year.

Kind regards,

Iain Murray

Excellent, swift and professional check in, lovely room and great room service breakfast, well worth a visit and set in beautiful grounds. Also a lovely country pub nearby if your staying for a couple of days called The Fishery about 10 mins away

We stayed at the Hotel for one night in October for a friends birthday, combined with a trip to Elstree and The Harry Potter Experience. Wished we could have stayed longer. Totally surprised by the setting and the Hotel. Lovely rooms, our friend was kindly upgraded to a suite in the older part of the hotel .We enjoyed evening cocktails with a fabulous view of the London sky line.
Gorgeous weather for the time of year. Very comfortable friendly hotel. We would certainly make a return visit, hopefully for a little longer.

Room Tip: Would certainly recommend a suite in the older part. You feel really pampered.!!

Laura Ashley - The Manor
What a place! I rarely (if ever) give 5 stars. The hotel is really a beauty - both inside and out. Plenty of character and the rooms were well decorated (Laura Ashley of course!).
The food here is miles better than what other hotels are like - and very well trained waiters/waitresses with professional manners and attentiveness. Both my partner and I were treated so well and would definitely return.
I would recommend you visit this hotel, especially for a romantic break.
