My husband and I stayed one night in this hotel with my 11 year old nephew with a discount voucher.
We chose this hotel because it is very close to the Efteling themepark (+/- 3 km drive). We had hoped that the hotel would have a shuttle bus of some kind to the park; (as the Efteling charges 10 euro parking fee per car), but it was not the case.

The people at the reception will call a cab for you if necessary, and it seems that there are also busstops in the neighbourhood that stop at the Efteling (nr. 136, 137 , see www.veolia-transport.nl), but we chose to go by car as we didn't want loose time by waiting for the right bus.

The hotelroom had two single beds pushed together for the adults, and a bunkbed where 2 children could sleep, a small TV and coffee- and teamaking facility, but no refrigorator or minibar.
At the time we were there,we didn't need airconditioning, but we didn't find any either.
The bathroom showed the first signs of wear, but was comfortable enough.

The breakfast buffet had a very wide variety of items.
We had a comfortable stay in this hotel and can recommend it.

Room Tip: The best rooms are in the back, facing the yard

This hotel is about 3-4 km from Efteling amusement park, easily accessible by car from all directions in Netherlands. It has a big parking place; a motel-like facade and nice smiling ladies at the Reception (at least when we vistied). THe ratio quality-price for the room was very good and the breakfasts were delicious with many choices. The restaurant in the evening was more on the pricey side with very few choices (especially for kids), but at small driving distance there are couple of other restaurants with more varied choice. The room was clean, spatious, with nice view towards some green field. I highly recommend it for a short stay (e.g., a weekend or so);it may become a little bit tedious for longer stays.

Very smart reception area with good and and bistro off it.
Elegant decor and helpful staff.
Room was mediocre - needs a facelift. We asked for a twin room, and the beds were very narrow and the mattresses were awful. No mini bar, only a tea tray. Bathroom grouting was grubby and bath rail wonky, also soap was so small. it was gone after 1 bath - had to get some more.
Restaurant was good - very tasty, and classy meal very well presented. Staff helpful. Buffet breakfast had good variety, but limited hot food

Friendly reception staff. Nice bar area. Spacious rooms, but very tiny TV - nice bathroom no seperate shower and bathtub but one bathtub/shower. Very good quality breakfast with fresh juices and hostess that wasn't there to ask for your room number but to welcome you and show you around. Overall a good stay, definately value for money.

Hi.

During our summer trip to Germany-Netherlands we wanted to visit the Efteling amusement park. This hotel had nice offer (directly from website) for 2-nights-stay in a family room which did beat the other hotels.

Hotel is located next to Higway but we did not experience any noise problems as we got a room facing to yard.

Family room with bunk bed and bathroom was very spacious. The weather in central Europe was very hot during the time of our visit and i was a bit disappointed that the air conditioning was available only in public areas of the hotel, not in the rooms. From hotel website you could get an impression that also rooms have AC.

Breakfast was excellent, location as well: 5 minutes drive to Efteling park, 10 minutes to city of Waalwijk, 15 minutes to city of Tilburg.

NH Hotels have normally a good standard but the personnell is definitively not well trained to deal with guests. If you ask for a quite room, be sure they will assign a room with view to the motorway and the lovely soundscape. I´m convinced that business traveller do have the worst position with this kind of hotels, but if you think of it, we are the people that make run a hotel. Why those people do not understand?
