“Great fun for kids and lasting memories”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

We stopped off here on our drive through the Grand St. Bernard Pass. I am biased as I have raised two St. Bernards. If you aren't fond of them, you may not like it as much. Yes, it is true that you see the Saint Bernards through glass windows but they do bring one or two out at a time that you can get as close as you want to with them for petting, hugging, scruffing and great photo ops. They had about 15 puppies out playing while we were there, as well. You can arrange in advance for around 45 euro to schedule a walk with 3 or 4 dogs. There is a website link on the museum webpage for this. You could see the kids (young and old) eyes light up when the dogs were brought out of their pens. Amazing fun. It was also very interesting to see their history in the museum and to also see how the pass and tunnels were made using the Bernards and elephants. I was amazed how clean and well kept the kennels were. There is also a well priced gift shop attached to the museum and as a bonus, a nice art museum across the way from it. This is worth a stop off for a couple hours. Price for a family was 25 Francs or 21 Euro, which is more than fair.

“Go See the Doggy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

Not a bad attraction, you get to see the dogs, see the history of the dogy and also lear that the original St Bernard was called "Barry" who knows why no-one really but it's true. There is a very pleasant cafe and some interesting local history. A good attraction to pass some hours with the kids and the grandparents all at the same time, a winner for sure.

“Liked it and my son too!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

Very nice and interesting museum. I learned a lot not only about the dogs but also about the region. There is a lot of videos which makes it a nice experience. The best part for my son was meeting the dogs. The dogs are inside rooms with big windows but it was enough for my son to enjoy them. The restaurant was OK, nothing spectacular.

“Interesting Museum with Adorable Dogs and a very good restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Took a party of 50 people for a private visit to the museum including seeing the dogs with their puppies, and then a very good dinner in their Collier d'Or restaurant.
