“Great hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2013

We had a lovely week here in October. Our room was a sea view overlooking the pool. It was very clean and for two of us it was roomy enough. There was another bed underneath one of the beds but with this up it would have been impossible. So the rooms do not sleep three. The food was tremendous. I can't imagine anyone would not find something that they liked. We found it difficult to choose from the amazing selection. We ate out on the terrace every night and it was lovely. It was obviously a quieter time of year than some reviewers experienced but we had no complaints at all.

Room Tip: I think a sea view is always nicer but the ones overlooking the road were ok too and would be quiete...

Good rooms, delicious food, pleasant service and the best hotel in Cambrils as i can see while i walked across the city. Very positive moment that its first line to the sea!! But swimming pool is quite small but who care if you have sea just right near you!I recommend it to people who love all inclusive service (its almost like this but not alcohol). Breakfast, dinner and supper periods are very long to get impressions that u can walk in restaurants all day)) If i ever go again to Cambrils i will stay only here! Thanks.

Room Tip: Try to get rooms with sea view coz street view is too loud at the morning:(

Stayed for a week in October. The hotel is clean and modern and right on the sea front. However, the hotel largely caters for Eastern Europeans. For example, no English morning papers, but just about everything else. Check in was very slow. Watch out for hidden charges, that is pool towels, the safe (you must get a safe) and local tax before you even get started. For me the main issue was the service, it was hit and miss and generally average. Was never made to feel welcome. The outdoor pool was not heated, very chilly and was strictly monitored - a bit too much. The technician was excellent, very helpful and friendly. Plenty of food choice - but a bit bland. Beds were very hard and uncomfortable but you may like a hard mattress. Other things to consider, is that they is not much to do around Cambrils. However, the bus stop is outside the hotel and goes to many destinations. Buy a ticket at the local shop across the way, this gives 10 journeys at greatly reduced prices. This hotel is not terrible by any means, but for us it lacked that extra sparkle that would have made it a Platinum and our trip truly memorable.

Stayed here for a week holiday in Late October 2013, I stayed with my family of 3 adults (including me) and 2 younger children. We got this with a package holiday with thompson the hotel overall was very clean and i couldn't complain the the cleanliness as it was spotless. Facilities were pretty decent too, a gym that had all the gear you really need (such as a tread-mill and exercise bike) and the inside and outside pools were also fairly decent. However i have stayed in various 4 star european hotels and i wouldn't call this a 4 star hotel the facillites are good but fairly basic at the same time and the food is very poor also. I didn't see any entertainment so i couldn't possibly comment. My downsides with this hotel were the staff for a start, i found them quite rude and ignorant they weren't very smiley at all as soon as we checked in, we had to wait 2 hours with no apology or anywhere to sit (or any drinks to be getting on with things....) the staff generally weren't happy to say the least and had an annoying habit of taking away food at tea time when you weren't even finished. Vegetarian options were very poor and i ended up most of the time just eating bread and vegatables, and do watch out for one of the lifeguards i tried to go for a swim and he 24/7 stares at you, i do understand he needs to take watch but it made me feel very uncomfortable. I also wasn't happy at the fact you are charged for wi-fi when already you have paid a fair amount to stay at the hotel! Overall a fairly average hotel clean but basic facillites (good enough though) and rather rude staff.

My wife and I have just returned on the 29th Oct from a 2 week stay at the Estival Centurion Playa
All the staff were very friendly and most helpful, nothing seemed to be of too much trouble We had requested a quiet room(i know these are only requests at the time of booking and not guaranteed) The room were had was on the right hand side of the building at the rear the balcony had a great view of the sea & beach, with the slide door open we could hear the lapping of the sea on to the beach.
The pools a little on the small side but adequate. The food was first class and lots and lots of choice. On 1 review I had read it stated the food was under cooked this certainly not the case whilst we were there.
The room was cleaned daily and the bedding changed ever other day.
If you wish to be very piccy the room could have been a bit better if their was a mirror over the dressing table it would save carrying the chair into the bath room .
The hotel is situated a bit in the middle of nowhere ,this is no bother as the local bus company bus stop is just outside the hotel and as you will wish to travel to Cambrils Salou Reus or Tarragona you can purchase a T10 card(from the local bus companys shop across the road from the hotel ) this a sort of credit card that costs approx 15 euro's which entitles you to 10 journeys (within a certain area) please note this is not a get on and of as many times as you wish , 1 journey is getting on and weather it be 1 stop or 20 stops and then getting off, so the further the more you would save compared with the usual price. You can top up the card to another 10 trips for 11.70 euros.
We traveled with a big international tour company and at the reps welcome meeting they tell you about their trips by all means take note of this and their prices ,Then check out the bus shop across the road prices which is normally below 50% less than the reps prices,Having spoken to other guests that took the reps tours, and copared to the ones we took with Bus Planya we definitely get the better deals at below 1/2 the price. To some up We would have no hesitance in going back to The Estival Centurion.

Just returned from our holiday here (19-26 October). Absolutely beautiful location, you walk across a pavement to the beach and can lay on loungers which look out to the sea. Rooms are a little on the small side but newly decorated and well turned out otherwise. The food was extremely good (buffet style) and there was always plenty of choice, for example you could have salad, various meat and veg, stews, rice dishes, pasta, pizza each night. The breakfasts were also excellent and there was always plenty of everything.

We went at a quiet time of year but there was never any problem getting a table in the restaurant or a sun lounger. The staff were friendly and helpful, you just had to ask. The only downsides were that the doors to the rooms done close quietly so there was a lot of banging to wake you up in a morning and you had to ask for toiletries to be topped up. Overall this was an absolutely fantastic hotel.

Had a fantastic time at this hotel. Good food, sophisticated look, fantastic pool, right on the beach front, nice staff, right next to a bus stop, good entertainment. The only fault was that housekeeping weren't very thorough on their daily servicing...not cleaning cups/glasses/toilet etc. But apart from that we had an amazing time!! Will definitely go back and would highly recommend it.
