Booked via Next Escape in Egham who I would highly recommend for fatastic customer service. There was 10 in my group, 3 grand parents, 4 parents and 3 kiddies, aged 11 & 2 @ 7. Did a last minute booking and were allocated on arrival at any one of the HTop Hotels but we knew it would 4 star, but not sure which resort. We certainly landed on our feet with this one. The hotel and resort are beautiful. The staff are exceptionally helpful and always have a laugh and joke with you at the bar no matter how busy they are. The pool is rather small, but you have miles of beautiful beach about 5 mins walk away, so thats not a problem at all. The food is superb, loads for every one, and a really good choice. The salad bar was to die for, and so was the rice puddings... yummy! The rooms are cleaned everyday and the towels seemed to of been changed every day too, which I was really surprised as the hotel was fully booked. The maids kept the whole hotel spotless and even the brass gleamed every day! How they kept mucky paw prints off the bar rails i will never know. All in all you will not be dissapointed if you stay here. You will only be about 40 mins away from Barcelona via train, which runs all the way along the beach which makes a fantastic day out! Get the Barcleona Bus for 20 euros and see the whole of Barcelona in 3 hours..... you can get on and off when ever you want and for 24 euros you can travel around for 2 days! I would go back again to Hotel Amaika and to Calella! Very traditional and has something for everyone. Has bars out side the hotel so you can go for a night on the tiles, or stay in the hotel and watch the entertainment which is superb... all in all 10 out of 10 from the Goodrum & Ridger families

Having just returned from a ten day holiday with my wife and 13yr old son. We were all extremely impressed with the whole package, people say that the pool is to small for the hotel, and yes it maybe but none of the hotels in the area are any different, but it is clean. the room was very very clean with maid service every day. The food is typical of spanish hotels used by the Brits, but was allways enough and hot and well presented!! the dining room staff were very helpful and polite. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, only problemwe found was that round the pool at night beware of the plastic chairs they are old and brittle, each night someone was the victim of brittle chair legs, some nights there were more than one!!

Just returned from hotel Amaika after a 4 night break with hubby and 12 year old son. Hotel very clean and very decorative, throughout,. we were quite impressed.. Air-conditioned rooms big enough for 3 single beds. Bath + shower. Pool is a bit small but the water is lovely and partly shaded in the afternoons, but is that so bad when the temperature is in the 80's F. Sun beds were claimed by a towel all day every day by some people who were very selfish. Food was fine for the adults, good choices, but picky children may struggle (chips are available at lunch and dinner) sometimes meals could have been hotter. Staff were very smart and polite although the language was a barrier at times. We went FB but would advise guests to go AI for better value. 5 mins from beach, which has tiny pebbles not sand, there is a steep decline at the water edge-be careful. . I must warn you so you won't have your holiday ruined, on our second day we decided to go to Barcelona on the train. BEWARE
my husband had his wallet stolen getting on the train at Calella station - leaving us with very little money for the next few days WATCHOUT AND BE AWARE OF PICKPOCKETS YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED......

Went for a relaxing break at the Amaika hotel.Food was to much to choose from ,staff were excellent very friendly.The only thing i can say bad about the hotel was the people they put in the room next to us very noisy .We found every one got along and joined in the excellent entertainment . Overall a lovely hotel will deffently be going back in the near future.
