“Very nice hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

We stayed one night - and the hotel was very clean, and nicely designed.
It had a great location and view on the village.
Also it includes parking, eur10
We went to the same hotel 30 years ago, which was much modest back then. ANd now it is just a really nice and relaxing place. Good job!

A seaview room and the off season equals a nice way to get away from it all. Rooms were bright, very clean, minimalist but comfortable décor, and as mentioned by others, the balcony adds so much to the experience. Staff was very helpful with directions and resto suggestions, included breakfast was very good, Free wifi in room, and BBC & CPAN on TV. Short walk to the main plaza, 20 minute walk to Dali's house. Parking can be arranged, but be sure to let them know your need in advance, as it's limited. Bar and restaurant on site, for convenience, and large lobby and game room too.

Hotel Playa Sol is a dream come true in Cadaques. The rooms are a great size and the majority have a balcony, although you will pay for the view. The location is great, just a few steps from the main areas makes this Hotel close enough to be near the action but far enough to be quiet. Meals at the hotel are very good. If you are lucky enough to have a balcony then I would recommend going into the main street area and going to the supermarket - grab a bottle of wine, cheese and meat at the cheapest prices there are

Hotel has a pool, jacuzzi, outdoor firepit, indoor and outdoor bar, aqua therapy shower and steam room.

WiFi in lobby areas is great but it didn't work so well in our room. Luckily we didn't need it that much because the place is a dreamland.

The drive to cadaques is through the mountains so pack your patience.

Room Tip: Pay for a balcony on the water side. It is well worth it.

views, views and more views. What a great spot just across the road from the sea. After seeing our room we decided to stay another night. After three days in Barcelona this was a welcome change of pace. If you want to escape & relax in an amazing setting , look no further.

The employees speak many languages so you'll have no problem if you just speak english. We just loved hanging out on the balcony drinking wine and taking in the scenery. At night we just left the balcony door so we could listen to the sea. There are a few great restaurants within a minutes walk. This is the place to stay in Cadaques.

This hotel ticks all the boxes for me, a wonderful location, excellent amenities, lovely clean well furnished room, and helpful staff who spoke excellent English. We visited at a quieter time of year when the nearby restaurant was closed so there would be no problem with noise if you booked a room at the front of the hotel. Our room overlooked the very attractive gardens and pool area . The hotel decor was Spain meets New England, very restful. It appears to cater for families well, I spotted a pool table and boxed games one of the lounges. We would love to return.

This hotel is a great place to relax in the beautiful setting of Cadaquez. Situated just a few minutes walk from the centre of the town but far enough away from it to avoid the very loud music etc which blasts out the summer weekends. The hotel itself is in a small embayment with a little sandy beach right outside the front door. The facilities in the hotel are very good with a tranquil garden area with loungers around the large swimming pool. The rooms are well appointed and most have pleasant views of the bay or garden area. The breakfast buffet is very good and an excellent lunch served in the pool area. There is no evening meal but the staff are always ready to fix something to eat in your room if needed. Since our first visit 50 years ago the town has grown with result that there are endless restaurants around the bay and generally more shops and facilities. Unfortunately the town has become a haven for day tourists making it crowded at times but that is "progress".

Room Tip: The higher cost of a room with a balcony looking out over the bay is worth it.

This is typical 3 stars hotel with the furniture a-la IKEA...
Its clean, but without any idea or taste.
You have to make the reservation of the parking in advance and its not for free.
If your room with the sea view, you will have a lot of noise all night, because between the hotel and beach there is the road and you in the centre of the village with bars, restaurants and so on... Beach is 3x5 meters full of boats...And the road, it means be careful if you are with the children.
But its not my style of the hotel...
