“Best Lebanese Restaurant, Great food and Ambiance.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2013

We were a group of 12 people and we were looking for a good restaurant and suddenly we have found "El Barroco" Restaurant. We were surprised by the hospitality of the owner "Sam", the food and the ambiance.

We have almost tasted nearly 20 mezze: Fish,Grilled meat... Everything was really delicious, the service was perfect and of course the price was very reasonable.

For sure we will be back to this amazing restaurant.

“Most memorable place to eat in Cadaques”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2013

Great setting for a restaurant. Great atmosphere enhanced by a lively and charming host who speaks various languages as well as playing the piano.

I enjoyed the food and the mint tea to finish.

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

We were attracted by the excellent reviews as well as the cuisine...however we were not overwhelmed with this restaurant. Mine host was certainly welcoming and all was well as long as we were suitably impressed. Sadly, we were not, the food was pleasant but average and served from plastic bowls with cold flat/pitta bread (as we were informed 'it cannot be hot as it is all cooked in the morning'). During the evening we were there, there appeared to be a number of families living there, with children running around and screaming, as well as many people coming and going, in fact we wondered if the restaurant had actually changed hands. We would not return and could not recommend it unless it was just for a view of the flowering wall and the Dali history.

Dear ladies,
Many thanks that you found "however we were not overwhelmed with this restaurant. Mine host was certainly welcoming and all was well as long as we were suitably impressed. Sadly, we were not, the food was pleasant ".

I'm sorry that we did not know how to offer your the evening you wished, in the same way that we always try to offer it to other loyal customers .
Allow me please to answer you dear Medames on various points that you did not appreciate this Saturday night .
As you had observed "the restaurant was full, inside as well as outside (the patio area, or you dined with your girlfriend).
-True ... the our Lebanese bread was fresh from the morning, and it is also true that the Lebanese bread (so fine, almost like crepe, is not advisable to reheat) Also true as all our boards(fire)in the kitchen were occupied by meat and fish. Thing that we couldn't reheat your bread ...
Beside that, I do not think according to my knowledge ... that bakeries and restaurants in England or in Europe, serve and sell bread... "Hot". unless you buy it from the bakery very early in the morning.or when the bakery inform you at what time new bread will comes out...from the oven.
- The plates in which we served your four "Mezes, are not" Bowls "otherwise traditional dishes special Mezé,true in plastic they are, copy of traditional Mezé plates, and because we don't find the ceramic or terracotta, for the moment...
Next time, if you wish, we will serve you with pleasure in other normal "dishes" .

-Now........ About children: we would like to inform you dear ladies, that "El Barroco" has always been a paradise for children, because we love children, 'because our customers, have children, and love us because we love their children. and that we take care about their children , celebrating their birthdays, offering gifts to their children. etc....
And if the kids make noise, or scream...and i think that (crying is not screaming) it is not our area of educating the children of our clients.

And if it was your children ...or your grandchildren,How(AS you said in your revue) " with children running around and screaming, as well as many people coming and going,"

Would you also give us a negative value too?
