Stayed here with friends from 20th to 27th april had a fabulous week at this hotel great surroundings good food plenty to drink.
There were a lot of children there but this was not a problem as there are adult only areas.
Excellent value for money.

Dear Guest

We thank you for your comment shared on Tripadvisor.

We note with much satisfaction that you passed a pleasant and thoroughly enjoyable week at the resort. Also nice to know is that your experience of the food and drink met your expectations.

As you quite rightly point out, the resort is great for families with kids’ areas and activities, but that we also cater to adults who would prefer a more peaceful ambience, perhaps. Such is the reason why we have an adults only relax pool, an adults only section of the Gaudí restaurant, and an adults only bar, the El Dorado Rock Café.

Thank you for your comment about the hotel’s good value, we appreciate this strong endorsement of our everyday effort to good customer service.

Best regards

We stayed at Suite Hotel Atlantis Fuerteventura Resort for a week from 20 April. On arrival we had to wait a couple of hours for our room to be ready but looking back this was only a minor niggle and we were able to get some lunch whilst we waited.

We opted for a Superior Suite and weren't disappointed. We asked for a sunny room, in a quiet area, first floor and that was what we got. The room was very clean and a generous size. The kettle was great for an early morning cuppa.

We found the food to be good, with lots of choice including lovely fresh salads and also local dishes. The drinks were good, both non-alcoholic and alcoholic with a choice of cocktails included.

The grounds are nicely kept and there is a choice of pools. The one closest to our room was really warm with a choice of sunny or shady areas and didn't get too busy. Although there was plenty of sunbed-reserving going on in other areas!!

The hotel is located just a few minutes walk from the beach, and you can follow this all the way into town. Alternatively walking into town on the footpaths takes about 20 minutes.

Our only gripe would be about the rules of what men can wear in the dining room for dinner. We were told, and our rep confirmed this, that men had to wear long trousers. However, lots of men were wearing various styles of shorts. On checking with reception we were told that it was ok to do so!!! It would be nice to have a clear policy about this, if only to help with decisions when packing!

Talking of our rep, Hazel was lovely and far more attentive than other TC reps we've had recently, thank you.

If you get bored lazing around the pool the Oasis Animal Park is a great day out, as is hiring a bike and cycling north along the coast.

All in all we had a lovely, relaxing break, with probably too much food and drink, but isn't that what holidays are about!!

Room Tip: We emailed our room request and got exactly what we asked for.

Dear Guest

Thank you for posting your review here on Tripadvisor. We appreciate this addition to our self-evaluation, and also that you have shared it for the use of other travelers.

We are happy to see that you enjoyed your holiday to the fullest with us. It is great that you enjoyed the Junior Suite Superior room you chose, and that you enjoyed making a cup of tea in the mornings with the kettle included in this room type. We note also that the food satisfied your expectations.

The current policy with regards to male dressing is that ¾ length shorts or long trousers are acceptable. The dress policy is implemented to allow guests to enjoy the environment they would expect in a 4 star hotel restaurant. We apologize for any misunderstanding with regards to this policy.

It is fantastic that you found the hotel’s location to be a useful one for taking advantage of excursions and the nearby beach, to which we run a free 5 minute shuttle bus every hour.
We would love to welcome you back again in the near future.

Best regards

We read several reviews before booking a last minute trip to Fuerteventura for some spring sunshine and the Suite Hotel Atlantis seemed perfect and we weren't wrong! We travelled as a couple looking fir a quiet, relaxing break.

Not too far from the airport so transfer times are fine, we arrived mid evening and the hotel check-in process was quick (you do need to ask about the safe key and towel hire at this point). We stayed in the main block with our room being adjacent to the spa which was ideal. No noise and also next to the quieter large pool and also near enough to all activities but far enough away if you didn't want to be involved! Plenty of loungers for everyone, very clean and tidy and life guards regularly checking the area and a couple of times a week a suncare specialist on hand too.

We've stayed at many all inclusive resorts around the world and normally in Europe/Northern Africa we've tended only to use them for breakfast and lunch but the quality of the food here meant we only went out twice for evening meals - the food is very good in the main restaurant and Asian. The Spanish restaurant had delicious tapas choices (chorizo to die for and the seafood options) but the main meals did let them down slightly.

We weren't aware until the second night that the AI option on drinks finishes at 11.00pm so if you want a drink later than this you have to pay! Not a problem but it should be stipulated first o ensure you have money!

You must take a trip into Corellejo and if you walk out of the front of the hotel to end of road, turn left and cross over to the right of the road and walk a few 100 yards you will see a small alleyway/back street that takes you to the beach. You can walk Dom here right to the town rather than walking the longer residential route and there's a lovely beach bar (part of some apartments but open to everyone) you can stop at day or night.

Overall a lovely place for a relaxing week break - would go again as great value for money.

Room Tip: We stayed in 5128 right next to spa if you want a quiet room, overlooking the far pool at ground lev...

Dear Guest

Thank you for taking the time to post your thoughts for other users.

We are glad that your holiday was enjoyed to the fullest at the resort. We are particularly happy that you enjoyed the use of the 7 pools found in the resort, and that the location of the hotel impressed you with the ease of getting to Corralejo along the beach.

There are 5 bars throughout the resort, a minimum of which 2 are open during the day and 2 during the evening. They include the El Dorado Rock Café, which is exclusively for adults. The all inclusive program includes various branded alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks.

We are delighted to see that you would come again, and can assure you that you will be most welcome.

Best regards

In summary, having experienced dirty plates, glasses etc and being served both raw chicken and pork (which we noticed and didnt eat), 3 of us were ill with sickness and the runs 6 days into our holiday for a good couple of days. As 2 of us were ill for the last day we advised managment and told them we didnt want to eat there, explaining our symptoms. As we wouldnt eat there, as a point of principle we didnt want to pay for food for that day. We were told by an assistant manager they have no food hygeine issues and we it couldnt be attributed to the hotel. Despite our stomach bug symptoms we were told to eat in the communal restaurant. They then sent us a basket of fruit and bottle of wine as compensation having totally ignored what we said and the fact that i was bed ridden. hilarious customer service. We were told they never had issues like this, except the maids said sickness was very common in young children there (poor girl had to clean up our daughters) and it was normally fish or tomatoes....admittedly some of this will be over indulgence. Also one of the reps said the week before a few other families were hit by a bug.

Oh and on the last day somebody else complained of cockroaches in the main restaurant. I very much doubt this would have got back to Managers as they dont appear to have proper incident management policies in place that record such incidents.

That said, the grounds are well kept, communal areas clean and rooms were as advertised, so could have been good. Great for tennis, just avoid the food...

Dear Guest

Thank you for taking the time to share your individual experience on Tripadvisor.

We regret that your stay was not to your full satisfaction. The hotel offers 3 buffet restaurants, which are the Gaudí where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served; Rambutan, an Asian theme restaurant; and El Molino a Spanish restaurant. There is show cooking across all 3, allowing guests to see their food being prepared and ensuring that they can enjoy their meat cooked exactly to taste. This includes the meat grill at Gaudí and El Molino, the fish grill at Gaudí and the wok at Rambutan. Furthermore, health and hygiene standards of the kitchen are subject to regular internal and external audits and conform to HAPPC regulations that we follow strictly.

During your supposed stay we have had no other records of diseases of other guest, being the fact that more than 900 guests and 200 employees eat daily from the same food prepared by our kitchen so please consider that your illness also could occurs outside of our hotel during an excursion , on the beach etc.
Following our procedures, In case a guest approaches us with any health problem, we always direct them to seek medical attention from the local clinic which is 5 minutes away.

Satisfaction of our guest is our first target; therefore we take all suggestions and comments of our guest, given personally in the hotel, through our questionnaires or any travel network like tripadvisor. For us tripadvisor is a good way where travelers can inform themselves about their holiday destination on the other hand we have to accept comments from guest who have not received what they were insisting on.

We are glad to see that you have enjoyed the beautiful tropical garden areas, different pools and spacious rooms of our Suite Hotel Atlantis Fuerteventura Resort.
More than a 77 % of our guest values our hotel as excellent or very good.
Once again we are sorry that we could not satisfy you to the fullest.

Best Regards

We had a fantastic week at Suitehotel Atlantis with Thomas Cook (we were 6 adults, 2 children in 3 rooms). Reception is very elegant and clean, and we had a free glass of Champagne (or similar) upon arrival.

==Complex & Amenities==
Complex is very large, set amongst tropical garden, and consisted of several two-storey whitewashed buildings. 3 tennis courts, 6 or so swimming pools (one of which is the main one where the large pool bar is and all the daytime activities take place, and another was quiet no-inflatables one). Nearly all amenities - restaurants, shops, etc. - are in the centre of the complex, near reception. As said before, hotel is in a quiet residential area, 10 mins from the start of town or 20 mins to the harbour, via the beach or road.

No lifts that we could see and the hotel is one block away from the sea, so no rooms have a direct sea view, but some first-floor rooms right at the end of block 6 do enjoy some views of the sea and the harbour. Most rooms are garden or pool view.

Didn't use the wifi based on previous reports but there are enough computer terminals in reception. €1 gets you 10 mins, but the connection is quite slow.

The hotel is very international. There were predominantly French people there with still a significant amount of British guests. Also heard Dutch and German spoken, and met visitors from the Spanish mainland, Poland and Portugal too. All nationalities were polite, mixed with each other and had lots of fun. There were no French people pushing in queues, Germans stealing sunbeds or English people trying to make themselves understood by talking loudly and more slowly.

==Staff==
Staff are very welcoming, very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. All work very hard and long hours. Room cleaned every day. Animation team clearly love their jobs and speak about 5 languages each.

Hazel, the Thomas Cook rep, incredibly friendly, helpful and approachable.

==Food & Drink==
Incredible amount of choice for all meals. Food is quite international but plenty of Spanish dishes too. The Asian restaurant is mainly Chinese food, with one choice of curry (Tikka Masala) and a Japanese selection too.

The all inclusive alcohol, however, was not particularly high quality. Beer is Estrella Damm from Spain, which was fine, but wines were quite thin and we think the spirits (all local variants) were watered down. Branded alcohol is available but you have to pay extra, albeit at a discounted price. A number of cocktails are all inclusive, including the cocktail of the day.

==Activities/entertainment==
Kids' club runs in the morning and afternoon with a break for lunch, and parents must remain on site. Kids' evening entertainment runs from about 7-9pm in the main theatre, where there's a show on every evening from 9.30 for the adults - different each day and quite good fun. Sometimes it's the animation team acting out Mamma Mia or Grease, other times it's an external act, like acrobats. In the daytime, there's loads of activities like volleyball, water polo and football for adults and kids.

Some of these reviewers complain about the noise of children. I wouldn't say that it was excessive, but I would recommend that these people not choose a family-orientated hotel next time.

==Rooms==
Although this is a hotel, rooms were well presented and apartment style with a kitchenette, sofa, a/c, satellite TV (English limited to BBC World, but you don't go on holiday to watch Coronation Street). I was quite happy watching The Simpsons in Spanish). All have a terrace or balcony, I believe. As this is the Canary Islands, cockroaches are abundant in the hotel grounds - usually the dark pathways and shrubbery, not the bright restaurant and entertainment areas. We found none in our room, but my parents room had a few at night, possibly due to being at the end of the block. If you don't like cockroaches, don't go to the Canaries at all, but this is not something that spoiled out holiday.

==Weather==
We were a bit reluctant to go in April as we were uncertain of the weather, but it was always in the high 20s and low 30s every day. It tends to cool down very quickly in the evening, to the mid teens around 7 pm, and get warm very quickly in the morning, around 10 am. The 'midday' sun is actually around 2pm. It can be very windy on the island, hence its name (Fuerteventura = strong wind in Spanish).

==Resort==
Corralejo has everything you need, yet is not overdeveloped and chavvy. Nice relaxing feel to it, unless there's a football match on. Nice small harbour area and one main shopping street with your typical tack and designer products too. Do haggle in the smaller shops and of course at the markets. Check your products when leaving any market for any defects. We bought collapsible wooden fruit bowls that aren't sturdy.

If you haven't been to F'ventura before, don't be put of by the lunar landscape when leaving the airport. It gets a lot sandier towards Corralejo. Beaches are pristine, especially at the Dunes, to which a free hotel shuttle bus operates approx. every hour. Do be wary of the sun. It can burn the most tannable of people in half an hour. ESPECIALLY if it's windy.

Room Tip: Rooms numbered '6XXX' are in a quieter part of the complex.

Dear Guest

Thank you for your helpful and detailed evaluation of the resort posted on Tripadvisor.
We are glad to note that you and your family enjoyed a pleasant stay and that your experience at the Hotel was a good one.

It is truly a delight to learn that you were impressed by the staff friendliness and helpfulness. We are also satisfied that you found the rooms to be well-presented.

Among the 3 restaurants in the resort you mention the Gaudí, where international and national dishes are served. Every night is a different themed night and there are also pureed soups and other dishes suitable for young children. Additionally, within the Gaudí there is a large section exclusively for adults.

We see that you took advantage of the hotel’s great location and also the free shuttle bus to the Corralejo Grandes Playas beaches and sand dunes area.

We would be happy to welcome you back again someday.

Best regards

Thank you for posting your review on Tripadvisor.

We are glad that you were impressed by your experience at the resort. It is nice to know when we have done a good job, so thank you for your kind comments regarding the staff.

The grounds are indeed one of the highlights of the resort; they cover 65,000 square meters and include 15,000 square meters of tropical gardens. With convenient signs, it is easy to find your room and we also have porters willing to take your luggage to the room for you.

The staff and animation team will be ready welcome you back with a smile.

Good Quality Hotel and Value for money. Excellent complex with a selection of pools and lots of sunbeds. In the main restaurant, Food was excellent, plentiful and varied however you may struggle if vegetarian. Good choice at Breakfast all the usual plus smoothies omelettes and cava. We found the main restaurant to have a better selection at Lunch. Visited the Spanish restaurant but was disappointed. Animation Team were excellent in the day, cannot comment on evening entertainment as we did not see it. The maid service was superb, our room was made up every day extra pillows were left after our first night as we had rolled a blanket up to use. Beach/ Pool Towels are available 20 euro deposit each these can be changed once free of charge then for 1 euro. Safety Deposit 30 euro deposit + 2.50 euro a day. will definitely return.

Room Tip: we had a room near the spa pool that was very quiet.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with other Tripadvisor users.

We are happy that your overall impression was a good one and that you enjoyed your stay at the resort. Thank you in particular for your kind appreciation of the maid service.

We are glad also that you found the food at Gaudi restaurant excellent with plenty of choice. We note with interest that, on this occasion, you felt let down by the Spanish restaurant. We will take your comments on board as we strive to improve customer service.

The towels have 1 free change per week and thereafter cost 1 euro to change. This is to encourage conservation of laundry chemicals, the production of which may be harmful to the environment, and this is also why 50 cents of that 1 euro goes to the charity Oxfam.

We hope to once again welcome you when you next pass by Fuerteventura.
