“Perfect for a romantic dinner ...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2014

Really lovely location overlooking the harbour front ... Part of a boutique hotel with bright and clean decor. We came here for a child free dinner on our holiday and didn't regret it ... Very attentive staff and very chilled atmosphere early evening.
Fairly small menu but we prefere quality over quantity so it suited us.We both had the grilled lobster which didn't disappoint ... Really tasty . Great wines too. The cost is slightly more than your average meal out but definitely worth it .

“Consistently good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2014

I visited this restaurant twice last year and went again this year. They've extended out the back with a covered patio/terrace area, though diners had to move their tables in slightly to avoid the brief rain shower when I visited. The music was a fraction too loud for some people. The seabass was excellent and had mostly been deboned. It came with a very small side dish of papas arrugadas and a very tiny dressing of salad so if you're hungry you may need to order a more substantial side dish. I had the mushrooms in hot oil with garlic which were delicious (and very garlicky) to start with. Limited choice of wines by the glass. Service was polite and relatively quick given it was nearly full to capacity but nothing special.

“Overrated and not worth the money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2014

We ate here one evening without booking and had a table inside the restaurant. The service was good and staff were very busy. The 'kid' was a recommendation so my husband had that. My daughter and I both wanted the chicken however there was only one portion left so I had the cod. The 'kid' came with chips which was so unappetising as it looked just like a small pile of bones. The cod dish was good which came with a boiled egg and the chicken was half a roast chicken with some dried out chips. We also had a portion of canarian potatoes which weren't the best in town. We asked for chocolate truffles but they had run out. Overall the place has a boutique feel with young staff and an excellent setting.

“Great meal and setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2014

We visited this restaurant on our final night after a recommendation and it was worth the wait. A great selection of dishes catered to both the conservative and adventurous members of our group, with charcoal cooked octopus starter a particular highlight. Staff were relaxed but professional and prices very reasonable for the qualify of the food. A lovely view of the harbour completes the scene

A word of warning however, the restaurant was completely full on our first attempt to visit, so it is one of the few places in Corralejo that will require a booking in peak season

“Great food, location, welcome and menu.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2014 via mobile

We ate at Rompeolas three times over a two week period, and it would have been a contender for our last night, but it is shut on Wednesdays. Although a bit annoying, this tells me that the staff are not just on a rota and are chosen for what they do. All the staff are relaxed even when busy, and willing to spend time with you to make sure you get what you want. The view is superb, and the decor gives the place a really nice vibe. We were a party of 3 adults and 4 children aged 10-14, we had a selection from across the menu and we all cleared our plates (although sometimes I helped the kids when they were full :) ) We will be back next year.
