“Very nice stay & good food (but not great food!)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

Had an amazing week at the Playa Park Club back in October 2012. We were All Inclusive and enjoyed every meal & drink that came our way. The hotel was clean (I just saw a review having a go at the hotel for mosquitos, yeah that's the hotel's fault!!), the food was nice, meal times were relaxing. The pool area was well kept and staff were nice.

The only downside were the evenings when people tended to head into town rather than stick around the hotel to watch dated entertainment.

Well worth a stay, you won't be disappointed!

Room Tip: The apartments down either side of the pool were the best location. We didn't see the flats in t...

Gorgeous hotel, lovely pools, private areas to sun bathe, relaxing sound of birds singing and watching them drink from the saltwater pool. Nice rooms, good food, really helpful staff, always football or something to do during the day, would definitely go back and Correlejo is beautiful with the amazing flag beach and the lovely harbour with nice bars, cafes and shopping, plus lots to do, boat trips, jeeps to the volcanos, wind surfing, kite surfing or simply relaxing and taking in the lovely energy :)

Room Tip: Pool view with balcony

It was our first visit in lovely fuerteventura the island is beautiful with stunning views and gorgeous beaches. The hotel is ok no luxury but the worst thing was the fact that it was no soap in all restrooms in whole hotel for a week which is not acceptable!!! we told this to every member of staff at the reception desk but they said there is nothing they can do which is absolutely disgusting as far as we know there was alot of guests who report that to reception with no result!!! finally after week they put soap in dispensers, but the attitude of reception staff is WRONG a specially woman called TANYA she was extremely rude and unhelpful! Me and my husband went to reception to ask her about directions to supermarket on our second day, she was doing something with fax machine and when I said excuse me she totally ignored me then I said excuse me again her response was yes i can hear you in a minute im busy very very rude!!! its like they dont give a monkeys about hotel guests she suppose to be nice and helpful thats her job not rude and ignorant!!! me and my husband travel alot but we never meet someone that bad!!!

Room Tip: try to choose a ground floor rooms they bit better

Second visit to playa park, we went self catering last year and the apartments have everything you need and lots and lots of places to eat, from kebab house to fancy restraurants and lots of cheap supermarkets wine 69 cents for a 1ltr carton. But as we decided we didnt want to 'go out' every evening we went all inclusive, for the extra money it was well worth it.
The apartments are recently refurbished, clean and very comfortable. We had a room overlooking the pool which had a front and back balcony. Kettles, microwave, hairdryer, cups plates and cultery are all provided. Lots of opportunity to have food and drink at most times of the day. Food in the restraurant is varied daily with a theme i.e Mexican. All really nice, didnt find anything we didnt like and always plenty of it.
The staff are all very helpful and try and make your stay enjoyable.
The weather even though it can be overcast and windy it is very hot and usually we would use a factor 15 but we found we needed a higher factor and still got burnt on our last day even after two weeks! but we both have a great tan. We spent most of our time on the dunes, where if you feel you want to strip off completely is is acceptable, without being seedy.
Check out is 12 noon, but they dont take your all inclusive arm bands off, so we found you could still get drinks.
Late checkout is an extra 18 euro till 3pm, but you can book the sauna for your last day where you can shower and change. They have two saunas and in each sauna there is two showers, but you do need your own towel.
If you just want a relaxing, non taxing holiday this is perfect.

Room Tip: we had an upstairs room which was great for privacy as the downstairs balcony were directly out onto...

Our second stay at the Playa Park did not disappoint. We requested an upper floor one bedroomed apartment in the 300 block and that's exactly what we got.
We stayed self catering again (I would never dream of staying AI, what's the point?) and this complex offered us everything we could have wanted at an incredibly reasonable price - beautifully kept grounds and pools, great central location, quiet and peaceful, spacious and really comfy new beds...only downside was the tired bathroom but 3 rooms beneath us were being refitted during our stay so I can only assume the whole block was being renovated. I am also happy to report neither of us were bitten or felt it was too hot to sleep. Windows open all night every night and we slept like logs.
Corralejo itself is just so chilled, we love the laid back hassle free quality it has. We were sad to see a number of eating / drinking holes had closed down since our visit last June but fantastic meals were had at El Toro Bravo, Asia Garden and Rock Cafe.
The walk to the sand dunes is a pleasant 15 minute stroll and well worth it - the views are breathtaking along the beach - even when windy as there are loads of lava stone shelters to sunbathe in without getting blown about.
The only downside to the whole holiday was the lack of sun! 3 sunny days out of 10 but I suppose there's always next year!

Room Tip: 300's block bedrooms face east so no sun after midday meaning it's cool on an evening.

i found the hotel rooms to be quite good, the hotel grounds and pool area really nice and kept clean.
The entertainment was the usual 3 star all inclusive fare.
However what really lets this hotel down is the food quality and selection, the soft drinks were absolutely disgusting even the waiters warned us.

Room Tip: Pool view with terrace is the best

Before booking we had ignored the low ratings of this hotel at our PERIL

Although we didn't,at first, realise it,the room we had was full of mosquitos. My wife had two mosquito lumps on her face as big as golf balls after only the first night,i had one on my face and another one on my arm.Our next step was to find a chemist to seek help with the bites, and guess what?,the pharmacist knew straight away which hotel we were staying at and said he had many holidaymakers from that hotel in the previous weeks with mosquito bites on them. The mosquito repellant spray and the mains repeller which we plugged into the room socket did protect us but it was at a cost of over £20.

Every morning the cleaner, who we believe was a Spanish colonial, moaned about the work she had to do each day and that very few people gave her any money as a tip for her work. To be honest a quick 5 minute clean was all she ever did.

The beds were very, very uncomfortable and it was impossible to get a good nights rest.

After the fourth night we packed our cases and moved to a different hotel for the remainder of our 14 night holiday,at our expense, but it was well worth it to have a comfortable bed,a clean room and very pleasant cleaners and staff.

I would advise everyone to read the lower ratings of this hotel.

As the head of the reception here at Playa Park I would like to apologize for the discomfort you encountered at our hotel during your stay. I really do regret you chose to change hotel during your holiday. Unfortunately I didn't get the chance to deal with the matter myself because/as I was abroad the week you where over here.
Regarding your misfortune with the mosquitos I would like to comment that I hope you do understand that these insects are inherent to warm climates and that they are beyond our control. Obviously we don't like our guests to be bitten or annoyed by mosquitos and we try our best to prevent this from happening. A mosquito spray can be found in all of our rooms at all times and we do have electronic mosquito repellent plugs available at the front desk as well.
Once again I am very sorry your wife had such a bad allergic reaction to the bites.
I hope you do understand that was something we never wished for to happen and that we cannot control nature as well as the individual's allergic reaction to insect bites
Your room maid is somebody that has been on our work force for over ten years now, so I was very surprised to hear that you were not content about her work and attitude. I am very sorry to hear this and would like to apologize on behalf of the hotel. A quick word at the time about this issue with one of our reception staff could have dealt with the matter instantly, and we could have either spoken to the person in question or assigned another cleaning lady to attend to your room.
I am also sorry to hear you didn't get a good nights rest. I do would like to comment though that beds always seem to be a delicate issue in a hotel. Some people prefer their mattress to be hard, whereas others rather like them soft. So it is difficult to cater for everybody's preference in this matter. Although once again, a brief word with somebody at the front desk could have solved the problem with the bed, as we would have sorted out a different type of mattress for you instantly.
My view on all of this is that, the unfortunate & uncomfortable mosquito bites a side, the other issues could have been dealt with if there would have been better communication and maybe you could have stayed here in our hotel for the full length of your holiday.
On behalf of the hotel I would to apologize once more for the discomfort you encountered during your brief stay with us.
