“Excellant hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2011

Stayed here for two weeks in July with my partneer and son.
What can i say, fantastic hotel absolutely spotless.
Apartments were massive. Seperate kitchen modern bathroom and three, yes three balconies.
Cleaners done a good job in cleaning the rooms and the maintenance staff kept the grounds and pool area spotless.
Three good pools one with a water slide and a life guard on duty five days a week.
Never ate at the hotel restaraunt but people I spoke to who did and said it was quite nice.
Hotel staff were all very well mannered and spoke good english.
Plenty of sunbeds around the pool so no problem in getting one, also they are a bit strict on people reserving sunbeds early in the morning, did witness on a few occaisions the pool staff removing towels left on sunbeds.
Again excellant hotel with a good location and excellant staff.
Would stay here again no problem.

Room Tip: Book an apartment very spacious and cormfortable.

Me and my partner arrived back from staying at the Playa Park Club only 2 days ago, and we had a fantastic time. We stayed in Room 112 which was at the front and the end of the building. Although to begin with i was slightly dissapointed at not having the best pool view in the world it turns out where we were meant that the apartment kept very cool and we never felt struggled to sleep because of the heat. We found the pool area and the apartment itself very good, the apartment was cleaned on a daily basis and our cleaner was always very pleasent and friendly. We are the kind of people to tidy up after ourselves anyway but you could tell the cleaner had been in as the bathroom always looked fresh.

The hotel was in the perfect loaction for us as it was only a 10 min walk into the main strip and we had a hire car for the week so ventured out to different beaches as there are so many lovely private coves you can stumble across.

In reply to peoples comments regarding paying for the Safe and TV, we did pay 10 euros for the safe but thats peanuts in order to keep your belongings safe and we didn't fly all the way to canaries to watch TV so didn't bother with that anyway. We needed to borrow a hair dryer and iron and they leant these to us free of charge so that was great. Although they don't tell you you must check out at 12 on the day of departure its pretty much common sense that this is going to be the case as i'd say thats the hotel policy for most hotels. The staff were very accomodating when we said that our flight wasn't until 8pm that night and although they couldn't let us have the room for any longer due to being fully booked they did however inform us there were showers down at the gym that we could use.

We booked our apartment and flight sperately which resulted in us only paying £25 a night per room, which in our opinion was a complete bargain. For the people that have complained about this hotel i ask where in the UK could you get a hotel of that quality for £25 a night??? I suspect some people have booked package holidays and paid way over the odds and therefore are unhappy, i'd take this up with your travel company if thats the case as the actual hotel prices are very reasonable. All in all we have nothing to complain about and had a lovely holiday, we would definitely return to the Playa Park Club should we visit Fuerteventura again

Myself and my partner came here as a package deal in July, we were outside the actual hotel in apartments and had a gorgeous view of the lovely pool, The rooms were a lot better than we expected for 400 each flight and acc, although they could do with more powerful fridges and aircon, not that it made much difference, there was three balconies, a back one, a main big on with space for 4 to sit comfortably and a small one for drying clothes, the pool was salt water which was nice, the only problem was your hair at the end of the day needed a deep cleansing condition and if you got in your mouth you eventually got cuts, The hotel was 10 minutes from the main strip and I'd recomend eating out unless you absolutely have no choice but to eat in the restaurant, the first night we got there we made do with crisps and the restaurant closes at 10.30, the second night we ate in the hotel we had the paella for two, delicious but on the second last night we left to go out too late and decided to eat in the hotel where My partner was given under cooked chicken in his chicken salad and I was given inedible lasagne (coming from two non picky eaters) for a starter we had re-heated chicken wings, all of this cost around 30 quid which I paid without a complaint regardless of the toxic, hardly touched food that made me sick the next morning. There was no official check out time so we assumed we had the room for the day which we realized was wrong because the maid began shouting at us after coming into our bedroom knowing we were there which another couple later said happened them too, The staff could have been friendlier especially since we tipped generously for everything but all in all they weren't too bad, would I stay again? Yes but only for the room.

Room Tip: ask for a poolside apartment

Stayed here for 9 nights in Jan 2010. Found it cheap and excellent value for money! Apartment was clean and comfy and had everything we needed. No issues with mossies or any other insects, even tho we were on the ground floor. There was enough basic utensils to cook many nights, as we were on a long trip and wanted to save some money. I had read some mixed reviews of this place and was a bit worried before we got there, but we found it quite ok. Staff were helpful.

Arrived late afternoon and was given room 114, Room was very nice but didnt have a view only of stairs, went to ask at reception for a pool view but was told the hotel was full. then my partner went down and spoke to the management to see if they could arrange anything. we was then given room 135 which was perfect as it had the pool view and was the same sort of size, only down fall was you have to pay for the safe and tv channels, we eat in the restaurant the first night and the food is great and is kind of cheap too, pool area very clean also. after the 1st night and ready to go to sleep my partner turn off the lights only to find something touching his ear, in this room it happend the 2nd night 3rd and 4th night only when the lights went out and only him, on the 5th night it only didnt just touch his ear he felt something breathing on him, from the rest of our stay we had to sleep with the lights on. we didnt mention this during our stay as they had already moved us and when the lights were on nothing happend. we did mention this on check out and asked the guy and he laughed.. this is now i know how we got a pool view so if you kick up a fuss and they offer to give you a room and its 135 then try and stick with the no view :) reception are good with whats on around the area. we went to the beach most days (corralejo) which is about 20 - 30 mins walk but way worth it. 15 minute walk the is a strip of shops and bars so its not all quiet in the evenings if you like your bars/clubs like me.. id defo stay here again but see what other hotels are in the area first.

Read the reports on the Playa Park Club and all I can do is agree with them!
Friendly and helpful reception staff, clean well-equipped and spacious apartments with well maintained gardens and pool area. Plenty of sunbeds and a well stocked pool bar with tasty snacks available. Excellent value for money.
I would recommend hiring a car as it is a long walk to the dunes and Flag beach and you can then explore the little villages and the landscape.
The apartments are situated about 15-20 mins. gentle walk from the main 'strip' [walk in ...taxi back 3-4 euros]. Vast selection of bars and restaurants from Chinese buffets [8-12Euros], Indian and pizzas for those on a budget to some superb steak and fish restaurants.
I think if you are only there for seven nights and you eat in the same restaurant twice it must be good! So for an outstanding steak go to El Toro Bravo [best I have had in a long time] and Little Italy for pasta, superb fish and quality steaks with exceptionally friendly service. Pop in the Corner House to watch your sport and have a lager in an ice cold glass for 2 Euros[say hello to Dave]...most we paid in one of the trendier bars was 3.75 a pint.
Already looking forward to the next visit!

Room Tip: First floor rooms with a balcony...well worth the extra cost.

When we got there on July 3rd we were given keys to room 104. First impressions were that this looks nice. We asked for a pool view room, after a tip from a friend, and got one. When looking around we noticed that the room was not as clean as first thought. It had been given a quick sweep through but not much more. There was hair, food and other debris all round the room. What was worse is that a plastic sign was placed over the loo to say it had been cleaned.....it wasn't. I had brought with us some anti-bac wipes and got to work....nice thing to do after a long flight etc??. We did complain to the management who were just as disapointed as we were. We were told that the room would get cleaned in the morning.....it was. I was there to supervise and pointed out where things were missed as it needed more than "I sweep some more". I pointed to her mop and bleach and said that a proper clean was required.
Once expectations were met we then went on to have a great holiday.
The beaches near the sand dunes are stunning. I would buy a parasol as hire is 9 euros.
The main street is about 15 min walk away and a taxi there is about 4 euro. Once at "the strip" keep walking until you get to the old town near the harbour and sea front.....wikiki bar is well marketed and not that great....nice views out to sea though.
Supermarket is just accross the roundabout in a small shopping centre 3 mins from Playa Park.
Hotel has no parking of it's own....park on road along from the hotel. There is also a bit of waste ground which is used by locals as a car/lorry park which I used with no issues.
We did go on a buggy safari around the nearby volcano which was fun. A 2 hour trip costs 39 euros expensive but worth it. Don't bother with the 4 hour trip as you will not be able to walk after lol. Trips arranged at a stand at the above mentioned shopping centre.
Lanzorote is well worth a day trip. Got an Armas ferry from the harbour which takes an hour. Got cheaper tickets from an agent inside the ferry terminal 19 euros each. Don't buy direct from Armas.
A great holiday was had and the management of the hotel were always helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view room. Bring some anti-bac wipes. Hire a car to see the Island. Beaches near sand...
