“Great location,average food,noisy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2012 via mobile

this hotel has a great central location, and is clean.the rooms are nice.the pool is barely adequate in size and could be crowded at times.the food is self serve buffet style which is great at breakfast -if a little bizzare-Brussels sprouts and carrots at 7.30 am ? In the evening it can be great - steaks one night for example but on another night only meat was chicken wings ?
The biggest problem I would say is nighttime/early hours noise when the revellers return from clubs etc there is no nighttime security and shouting, door slamming etc at 3am is not conducive to a good nights sleep.as an additional caveat there is a big new nightclub in the finishing stages being built under the hotel.as thankfully it was still under construction when I was there I can't comment on the noise pollution, but can guess it would not have added to my experience.housekeeping was fine and I had no problems with hot water unlike some previous reviewers.

Corralejo is great this hotels central location is great, should probably be 3* hotel, reception staff working the day shifts just give lip service and seem to look in distain on residents. I had a problem with leaking tap reported 11.30pm, checked next day twice all I got was a pat answer that it had been reported to the technicians,no one came to do the repair the next day, it could have flooded the room. Forturnately I was moving on to another accomadation, so did not see the out come. There was a dog barking day and night from one of the apartments again the reception staff did not seem bothered. Never had dogs barking in a hotel before, wonder what the room rate is for a mut??

Room Tip: Only sea view rooms are the penthouse apartments, most have pool or street view.

This hotel is very basic but lovely and clean. It's like a premier inn with a pool. Nice to have a small lounge and a fridge. The location is great, next to all the restaurants and bars, which could be a bit noisy at 3am when the clubs were shutting, but great to be right on the sea front . Corralejo has a lot of great things but the worst has to be the reps that trick you into spending at least 3 hours trying to get you to sign for a 3year holiday contract. It's a scam, they start by giving you a scratch card which you will get the 3 suns making you think you have won a prize. Unless its a miserable day or you have nothing better to do avoid them like the plauge

Room Tip: Try get a room not over looking the busy streets, they are very noisy at 3am

Third stay in three years at the Corralejo Beach Hotel and tenth visit to Fuerteventura. Hotel is well positioned in the centre of Corralejo and has a pool, large sun terrace area, restaurant, bar and also some self-catering apartments. Underground car park is also handy if you have booked a hire car but with only eight car parking spaces it is best to book a spot in advance.

Hotel seems to appeal to a mix of Spanish and other European nationalities rather than lots of UK visitors which gives it a cosmopolitan feel. Rooms are either a junior suite or suite (separate bedroom) with the later facing out to the pool. Our room this year was in the sun for most of the day which was nice plus sheltered from the occasional Fuerteventura wind.

Hotel staff were friendly, speak good English and other languages and helpful with any questions. The only snag this year was the lack of wired internet access in the room which for some reason wasn’t working. The staff tried to resolve and even took me to a second room to the test the connection but it didn’t work. That left us and other guests with the more limited wifi around the reception area.

Breakfast always includes an interesting “vegetable” option but there is a wide choice of pastries, fruit, cereals, crepes, rolls and hot selection.

I always recommend that people book a car when visiting the island as there is lots to see outside of the resort centre. Be it the Corralejo sand dunes, Flag Beach, the beaches of El Cotillo, a trip into Puerto del Rosario (reasonable sized shopping centre and the whole town is much improved), a drive down South to see the Oasis Park zoo or even the town of Gran Tarajal. A drive inland will take you through Antigua or if you fancy an interesting drive through the mountains and the very winding roads then try Betancuria.

Room Tip: Ask for one with all day sun - balacony amplifies the heat

After reading some negative reviews of this hotel did not know what to expect.
Stayed here over Easter 2012. Had one bed apartment facing the pool. There is honestly nothing to complain about with this hotel. Room was a good size with bedroom , living room and good bathroom. Room was cleaned very well and towels changed daily. Beds changed twice in the week we were there. Pool area attractive and spotless with plenty of sunbeds . Breakfast very good standard and plentiful .Staff friendly and helpful. Air conditioning worked perfectly well. Room was not noisy. Beds very comfortable. Shower was always hot. Location perfect, if you want central this is it. Granted as a previous review said it was lacking in a bit of atmosphere around the pool and the pool bar but it was very relaxing and quiet when lying at the pool. This was not a problem as there was so much choice of entertainment all around the hotel. Television did only have two English news channels but who goes on holiday to watch TV. Would not hesitate to go back to this hotel. Don,t believe what you read.I have travelled a lot in Europe and the Med and would rate this hotel very highly.

Room Tip: Ask for inside room overlooking pools as there was some noise at night from nearby nightclubs but th...

Well located hotel, helpful staff, nice bedrooms and good breakfasts. The negatives were the noise at night (we were over the street) and the effective absence of air conditioning. Re the former, (a) there is noise from nearby nightclubs and (b) the garbage lorry does its rounds at 3 am each morning and makes lots of noise. The AC is controlled from the Reception Desk and is set at too high a level, so the room is not cooled sufficiently and if you open the balcony door to cool the room you get lots of noise! So, effectively, there is no AC!

Room Tip: Avoid the rooms facing the Police Station
