“Awesome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2011

Loved everything about this place, from the minute we stepped out of the taxi on a very windy night! A very classy hotel with very well dressed clientele. Service from the staff was outstanding in all areas of the hotel. Quiet, chilled atmosphere around the pool during the day - no noise, just some music playing at the pool bar! Breakfast , including cava (if you like that sort of thing in the morning), is absolutely delicious - they have everything (except strawberries to go with the fresh pancakes!). Dinner includes a wide variety of cold salads, fish, meat, delicious vegetarian choices, pasta, pizza, rice, potatoes and Yes they do have chips, which if traveling with a 9 year old is almost essential. Desserts too many to mention; cheeses and biscuits also huge variety. We loved sitting in the Piano Bar before dinner enjoying a sangria or G&T. Bedrooms are very comfortable with nice hot, powerful showers. We had a seaview room overlooking Flag beach which didn't get much sun but had a fab view of the kite surfing and Lanzarote inthe distance. So many good things to say about this hotel I could go on and on!! Oh try Krystal restaurant for one night which is includedin the Half board price - food and service again outstanding. Can't find a fault with this hotel at all - will return October half term without doubt and again next Easter to hunt fir more Easter eggs hidden in the extensive buffet! Well done to the suberb staff and management of a great hotel!

In keeping with many contributors, we found the hotel to be just what we wanted. My husband, having just undergone surgery, needed a peaceful environment, swimmihg and relaxing, good food and a comfortable time for recuperation. The Rio Tres Islas fulfils all these requirements amply.
We did feel the need, however, to have an exploration 'away from base', and really enjoyed a day's outing (by coach). The villages of Betancuria and Pajara are delightful and of historic interest. Had we visited by car we could have spent more time 'discovering', but, it was a most enjoyable day nevertheless.
The hotel lived up to it's promise and truly does 'what it says on the tin'!

when i decided to go to Fuertaventure in April, my only aim was to have a few days of complete relaxations while enjoying the ocean and the sun.
luckily both the weather and the hotel was great for that.
the hotel is situated in the middle of nice sand dunes - the best part of the island for beach.
The room was cousy, nice fitness room and message room, fantastic staff, and the restaurant was really fantastic: wide range of choices for all types of tasty foods! the only thing i missed was a good coffee....
The guests are mainly German pensioners hence everything is calm and relaxed, nothing disturbs your relaxed times. The hotel stuff is super-friendly and super-helpful: no requests remain unfulfilled.
I can only recommend the place to have a few days of chill-out.
Since the cost of a taxi would be about 40 euros from the airport to the hotel (there are also buses though), it is worth renting a small car at the airport - makes your life much easier.

Myself and my Husband have just returned from this Hotel, we have had the most wonderful week. The Hotel is beautiful, its spotless clean and the food is excellent. There was plenty of choice everyday. We also ate in the Krystal restaurant which was amazing. The staff at this Hotel are very good and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble, from reception staff to the cleaning ladies who came to our rooms. They were all lovely. I would deffinately go back to this Hotel and would reccommend it to anyone who is looking for a completely relaxing break in a beautiful Hotel with good food and service, i cant wait to go back.

I write this as I am sat on the hotel terrace sipping a cool beer waiting for the coach to the airport. We have been here for a week, just the 2 of us and it has been bliss. As is usual with RIU Palace hotels we were greeted with a glass of bubbly whilst the porters sorted the luggage and the reception staff checked us in, no standing in a queue at reception waiting, just sat enjoying the start to the holiday. The hotel is excellent, from the rooms to the food, the staff, the pool and the views. The location, in my view is very good, slap bang on a beach which would not be out of place in the carribbean. There is nothing else around the hotel, it's a 5 euro taxi ride to the town (or a 1.20 euro bus) this was not a problem for us as the main requirement was to chill in nice surroundings. We only went to town twice, both through the day, and had lunch in a great spot, La Sirena, fantastic views. If you want a relaxing holiday in excellent surroundings then book, you won't regret it!

This hotel is located on a wonderful soft yellow beach which is part of the national park, a few miles south of Carrolejo.I was expecting the sand to be whipped up by the wind but that was further along the beach. Here it was a cool breeze, and at this time of year was quiet. The hotel was brilliant from the moment we arrived and handed a glass of bubbly to the farewells seven days later. Our room was a double with sea view.Big room with two queen beds and plenty of storage space.Flat tv with satellite and sufficient programmes in English. The design and faclities of this Riu Palace are the best I have stayed in,from the piano bar,the sumptious reception area and salons to the three pools and jacuzzi. The majority of guests were couples over 60 yrs old with a few professional young families,so no roudy or noisy behaviour anywhere.Food was plentiful and of high quality.I am not surprised this is rated so highly. The town is a bit tacky with pubs and the usual gift shops.Enjoyed the only excursion we went on which was across to Lanzarote and on to see the volcanes up close. Not much else appealed to us and we really didn't want to leave the hotel. Some serious walkers spoke of the amazing walks through the dunes.
