“Lovely week at Casas Del Sol”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

Just returned from a lovely, relaxing week to Casas del Sol in Playa Blanca booked with Travel Republic. We stayed in Bungalow 15C, overlooking the paddling pool. Nice quiet complex, well-tended by gardeners, cleaned regularly, towels replaced alternate days. Welcoming, friendly staff. Quirky decor - the bungalows are individually owned but have everything you could possibly need to self-cater. The bathroom layout is a bit strange with the toilet right next to the shower and keep the bedroom door closed to try and keep out the mosquitoes. Loved being able to sit on the patio for meals. Lots of bars and restaurants on the promenade within a few minutes walk away.

My daughter and I rented 17a from only Lanzarote.com the owners of which have 3 villas on the complex. This one has a fantastic location with a large, though somewhat sparse patio, with views across the harbour and bay to Papagayo beach. It just lacked a bit of colour in the way of plants. Maid service is once a week with a mop round, change of bed linen and towels. You are responsible for putting out the rubbish and recycling. Didn't use the pool as the weather wasn't brilliant but nice setting plenty of space to sit around it.
The complex is clean, well tended and has free wi fi in the reception lounge. Some villas have their own. We had a problem with the door and the TV and the maintenance service was quick and efficient.
I would recommend the complex and the villa we stayed in -my advice would be to look carefully at the location of the one you are interested in as some don't have a view, as much sun as others and steep steps.

I have stayed here for the past three years with friends, it's a lovely quiet complex with a large pool.
Each apartment varies and can be a bit hit and miss but out of the four times I've stayed there has only been one that wasn't so nice (3C)
Reception are always helpful but not open 24hr which can be a pain!
This hotel is self catering only and the rooms have all the equipment if you want to eat in, and you can buy essentials and snacks at reception and there is a supermarket 2 minutes from the hotel.
If you're after wifi its strongest in reception however you may be able to get a slight connection in your apartment if you're lucky!

There are many beaches in playa blanca one being a short 5 minute walk from the entrance and another bigger one about a 15 minute walk or a short €3 taxi ride where you can do lots of different water sports and a lovely little beach bar!

I absolutely love eating out in playa blanca and this hotel is in the perfect area if you want lunch or breakfast just across the road is a little sports bar called Popeyes where you can get a lovely cheap breakfast! And my favourite place The Irish Anvil just down the steps offer the best breakfast, lunch and dinner for a great price! If you're looking for a bit more then the promenade is also literally 2 minutes from the hotel entrance where there a lots of shops, pubs, bars and restaurants (I highly recommend Asia if you like a good Chinese!). If you carry on to the end of the promenade you'll find the clubs and more lively bars (from 11pm onwards - Swing, Wax, Mollies, and Jungle. My favourite place to start a night out is legends karaoke bar (next to Popeyes) where my good friend Steve will be sure to make you a good cocktail!

Overall this hotel is great for people like me who prefer to eat out and go to the beach most days! Very clean with helpful staff and perfect location with everything in walking distance. I will be returning :)

We have now completed our fourth year in 2D spending three weeks from January to February and hope to spend many more if possible. We have found booking this property very easy and a friendly helpful attitude.
The bungalow is in a great position (within a short walk to the shops and restaurant's) The owners have made sure that the property is superbly equipped which includes comfortable furniture throughout an easy to use kitchen free wifi and a TV with numerous English channels. There is also a washing machine in an outside cupboard if you have the need
The large terrace has a BBQ and plenty of modern furniture to relax on with a shaded area if the sun becomes to much.
The only downfall is we have to return to the UK at the end of the three weeks.

Arrived earlier than expected and staff kindly looked after baggage until room was ready. However we were allocated number 1B which on 1st appearance from outside seemed ok. Then on closer (and sometimes not all that close) the poor quality was discovered. Second door would not lock, old furnishings, curtains hanging off, shower room, beds etc etc.
We complained to the site staff who said they would send the engineer down to secure the door - which they did - later it failed again - complaint to office about everything - engineer returned in the morning and was shown all the faults - said he would report to the office which he did - a very short time later the lady in charge of the office appeared and invited us to view 4C and this was much improved and we moved into that bungalow and had a wonderful holiday.
The staff on site were excellent and the prompt action, without any resistance, saved the holiday for us.
The location of the site is fantastic with a short walk to the shops, beach, restaurants etc. Site is very clean, pool is great - altogether highly recommended. I am returning here in April and looking forward to it.

(PS - pretty sure these are the room numbers - a lack of a site plan on any website makes it difficult to check)

We have recently spent a very relaxing and comfortable 7 weeks in number 20 a Casas del sol. The bungalow is home from home, the owners have defiantly gone the extra yard for their guests.
There is a lovely big terrace area with new modern furniture, and a pleasant outside covered area for alfresco dining, including a small BBQ .

The kitchen is well equipped ,and there is brand new washing machine.

The owners have installed free wifi ,which was great . Plus a TV with 11 English channels.

It was refreshing to experience real value for money, in holiday accommodation fit for purpose.

Stayed in bungalow 31B. Excellent location on the site. Very peaceful and quiet. Good amenities in the bungalow and excellent onsite facilities. Office also sold basic items like water, juice, pop etc, but local spar is only minutes away and had all you needed.
Local irish bar served excellent snacks and meals with huge portions. Great restaurants along the sea front.
We would definitely return
