“Fantastic little place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2012

Made a point of trying to find this little place following reviews on Trip Advisor. It is a bit of a task to find, particularly as the street wasn't being picked up on the GPS on the mobile. Best way to describe the location is to head towards the Catalina church from the main square and keep going towards the left. Keep bearing left and you should see some small signs. The place has a website with a bit of a map to help. Nevertheless we were glad we found it, as found the other eateries on offer tiresome and offering the same old touristy tat. The owners pointed out that even though their place is classed as a restaurant on Trip Advisor, it is actually quite far from that. It is a very small eaterie (as other Trip people have said) - that is basically part of their house - with very limited seating and menu. The menu is simple - 5 tapas raciones for €10, plate of jamon €10 as well as drinks. We weren't sure what we were going to get, although we were assured of the fact that it was all freshly made tapas that was locally sourced. What we got was delicious and very well presented. Drinks (soft drinks and local vino) were priced reasonably too. I would say that if you were absolutely ravenously hungry and there are a group of you, then maybe this place isn't for you. But if you are part of a small group wanting some good quality and authentic nibbles in a kooky little place, far from the hustle and bustle of touristville up the street, then you should definitely give this place a try!

“What a find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012 via mobile

We stumbled upon this out-of-the-way delight, it being well off the main tourist areas. What a find: charming interior, great food (tapas), very friendly. It is small, just a couple of places to sit. Not established very long and deserves, in our view, to succeed. Visit and support it if you can. We don't think you will be disappointed.

“Just wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012

It's almost worth getting on a plane to go to this amazing little tapas bar in Valldemossa. Very friendly service, great ambiance, beautiful setting, delicious local food and wine - couldn't ask for more.

“Lovely place for local artisan foods and products”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2012

QuitaPenas literally means 'forget your worries'. Tucked away in one of the charming little alleys in Valldemossa, this is a small artisan food/tapas/wine tasting place with local Mallorcan products and wines. It only has only a couple of tables, authentic decor and a lovely romantic ambiance. The tapas, made on the spot, were delicious, including local meats, hams, cheeses. and spreads, and fresh-baked bread. The local wine was excellent. Would recommend this place wholehartedly!
