We have just returned from a week’s all inclusive stay at Safari Park, booked last minute to take advantage of Easter Break. We are a married couple in our late 30's, and had a wonderful time. Please try to ignore negative comments!! The hotel is friendly, welcoming and very clean. Having stayed in a 4+ luxury hotel before, we thought we would find ourselves comparing standards. However, the food is lovely and there is plenty of choice, you would have to be an extremely fussy eater to not like what was on offer in the buffet! We tried the Grill and Italian restaurant and enjoyed them also. You did have to book the Grill and Italian, which was fine in April when there were only 350 guests, but in July and August at the height of season with 2000 people I can see this would not always be possible.
We had an apartment (room to sleep up to 4 with kitchen) this was very spacious and always cleaned well, bedding and towels changed 5 days a week.
There was plenty of room around the pool, loungers, and bar in day. Lots of activities great for adults and kids. Grounds lovely (water park not open to May) but didn't bother us, we just used the 3 outdoor pools. There was a peacock and cockerel wondering around the pool which was funny .The sandy beach is only 10 min walk and very nice, we use to take a walk every morning after the buffet breakfast!!
Tried a couple of bars and a Chinese restaurant one night just to experience life outside hotel. But happy to stay in the hotel rest of time as great value being all inclusive. Night entertainment was ok, consisting of disco, band, dance show, magician and quiz night, not excellent but still enjoyable, at low time of season. Staff very friendly and sociable, bar staff and entertainment staff always happy to have a laugh and chat with you. Big thanks to Dennis from Germany and Ben from Belgium who ran the daily sports, entertainment programmes. If we had to mention just one negative thing, due to the size of the hotel, the corridors echo and some guest are not considerate when leaving their rooms and bang doors, meaning you are awake at 8 am , which isn't always good! Overall a very enjoyable holiday, perfect for all ages, but suited us better slightly out of season when quieter. Thank you Safari
