The place was full of crying, screaming kids and sunburnt football shirt wearing men.
Our balcony faced the main road outside - great view... not. This also meant we had no sleep due to lorries and coaches driving past all night.
The hotel sign resembled that of a supermarket.
People who get out of bed at 7am to reserve sunbeds around the poole - even though apparently, there's a strict 'no reserving of sunbeds rule'. You have no chance of finding a sunbed unless you're down there at 6.55am.
You're lucky to get any sleep with people (kids and adults) running up and down corridors all night.
The maid didn't clean our kitchenette sink - we had to go to reception and demand she came back to finish her job daily.
Sheets weren't changed for 7 days.
They make you pay around 15 Euro to HIRE a fan for your un-air conditioned room! Surely a so called 3* hotel should at least have a ceiling fan?!
Entertainment was cringe-worthy. I felt embarrassed for the poor people that are subjected to having to perform nightly in the 'big top'. We didn't watch any of it - we were put off by the 50 minute demonstration in the welcome meeting (which was more like a sales event). They try to make you buy their day trips, which cost much more than you get buy yourself in the town.
There was also a 'suncare advisor' who insisted you only buy her products (at great cost) - She also informed us that any suncream above factor 25 was 'bad for your skin'!
The 'Boogie Train' gives you a lift into the over anglicised, characterless town. The train was never on time and usually too full to fit everyone else on, therefore necessitating a 30 minute walk to the overcrowded beach.
I certainly would return to Bouganvilla - to see it being bulldozed.
