This was close to a holiday nightmare, dirty rooms, never cleaned the pool side, never moved the sun beds to power hose , it was sticky and unclean, you only get your room cleaned 3 times a week, you don't ever get served you always serve yourself that I'd both food and drink, and we were there when a fire happened at night at it was chaos, only one member of staff and no organisation, it could have been catastrophic!!!!, we went all inc, and this was buy far our worst holiday, EVER!!!,

Well I've just got home from the hotel and I found it fantastic. The only minus side I had was plastic beakers and no lemons in the drinks but apparently. That's only changed recently with the hi hotels We had a fantastic holiday and the fire alarm on a previous review was dealt with superbly. I was fast asleep but my son woke me. It was a shame for the kids. But it has to be done. Stop moaning folks. You don't have to go to work. Enjoy your holiday

Before i went on holiday i decided not to dwell on the bad reviews of this hotel but i should have!Apartments very small and very uncomfortable beds with no air conditioning which i could not believe!you have to hire a fan, kettle, toaster and TV(luckily there was a kettle and toaster in our apt but when we plugged in kettle first morning it blew a fuse!) so went and bought a new one for 10 euro in the local supermarket rather that pay 25euro rent here for one.Entertaiment is very poor..none around pool to give an atmosphere and the evening entertainment reminded me of poor karaoke!!the pool and surrounding area was never cleaned as far as i could see when we were coming back from being down town at night around 10:30 there was plastic glasses in pool and beer cans and tissues and babies soothers around the pool area. There are not near enough sun beds for the amount of people and if you are not out before 8am all the sun beds are reserved! There are two bouncy castles and a little bike track for kids near the entertainment at night but these are 3 euros each and the kids bungee is 5euro!Rip off i say!We were here for two weeks but once i calmed down and got over the disappointment we made the best of a bad situation!the town and beach are lovely(10 to 15 minute walk away) we went down to the lovely bars and restuarants there most nights The Kings Head a good lively spot and has entertainment for kids as have most restaurants and bars and not as dear as the Bouganvilla. We didnt go all inclusive whci was a blessing as some all inclusive families were also doing thier own food! This place is fine i suppose but i fpor one wont be back...hope this helps. We are heading home on July 7th.By the way there are no lifts so if you have kids that use buggys bear this in mind. This complex is far to big so the finer details are missed.

Room Tip: Ground floor if you have young kids

Dear Aileen,

Thank you very much for taking the time and commented about your stay at the Bouganvilla Apartments.

Please be advised that we offer kettles and toasters in all apartments free of charge. If you would have asked reception we would have replaced the kettle in your apartment.

The hotel has maid service that begins at 6.30 am. every morning, and their first responsibility is to clean all public areas. This includes the surroundings of the pools.

We went for two weeks,2 adults and 3 kids and had a brilliant time.In no way would I class ourselves as "chavs" and after reading the reviews I was worried but for no reason, everyone was happy and friendly. We were self catering and were upgraded to all inclusive after a problem with our water, the staff were superb.Food was fine no probs at all.The swimming pools were great and my kids made friends easily. Now for the entertainment, the staff were absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! friendly, genuine, fun, hilarious, they had it all particularly Jen and James, ive never laughed so much.Id go back in a heartbeat and didn't want to come home. Please don't be put off by the downright rude feedback

This is an awful cheap and nasty complex, the food is dreadful, I was ill twice whilst staying here, despite having a very robust digestive system.
The rooms are tired, old, and the furniture and equipment is worn out and of the lowest possible quality.
The reception staff treat customers like dogs, and are wilfully incompetent and unhelpful.
For example they locked us out of our apartment, because they wanted to talk to us about moving to a different one, due to a leak of water, that had damaged the floor, an tiles were coming off. So after walking all the way back from the beach, with a small child who was desperate for a drink, to find that we were locked out was a massive inconvenience, there was a cleaner supervisor walking past and she flatly refused to let us in, insisting that we walk all the way back to reception. I have never been so angry. They just don’t have an ounce of care or compassion.
Why did they put us in there knowing there is a problem ?
The flat we were offered as a replacement was bigger, but the balcony was home to a number of pigeons, so every morning, it was covered in excrement and feathers, which was uttely vile, the stairwells too were filthy and stank of pigeon faeces. No possibility to sit outside the apartment due to the danger of being soiled on.
The swimming pool was also filthy and full of assorted debris from plastic cups to cigarette ends. Also a big problem is the sunbeds, It seems many people go out at Midnight, if they can still walk from constantly swigging bucket sized plastic cups of cheap watered down lager, for all inclusive guests, and reserve a whole rake of sunbeds, which they then do not occupy the following day, due to being hungover and staying in bed until midday, meaning that there is nowhere to sit or lay down around the pool.
Back to the food, well the breakfast room resembled the battlefields of the somme in the morning, huge queues of hungover people snaked all across the building, there were not enough tables and the quality of the offering was execrable, I ended up taking our own Weetabix in there, as nothing remotely palatable was on offer.
Lunchtimes was just as bad, although there are two smaller restaurants that open for lunch and Dinner, the food is equally hideous, but there is a nicer atmosphere and the possibility to sit outside.
Dinner was just the same reheated frozen paella type filth, occasionally dry pink chicken drumsticks and various vile salty analogues of “Chinese “!!!! Food.
Drinks are available and unlimited, but the beer was more than 50% water by my reckoning, and the other spirits on offer from dispensing machines, were of such a low quality that it was preferable to drink battery acid or washing up liquid. All served in tiny plastic cups that invariably found themselves scattered all over the complex. Larger cups are available to buy from the on site supermarket.
When moving about this complex, making sure you are not standing in pigeon excrement or on broken plastic cups, you also need to take care about the many holes in the pathways, unfinished bits of work, and generally dirty and dangerous bits and pieces.
The crowning glory of this concentration camp, was the very noisy poor quality “entertainment “ taking place in a huge tent like building, which is encircled by awful stalls selling extremely low quality plastic Chinese toys, for €10 or €15 a time, that would probably not even be allowed in the UK even in places like Poundland, which is exactly what families with small children don’t need, to be nagged by their little ones to buy such pieces of utter rubbish.
I must add, is there was a fire in the complex on one night, and there seemed to be no proper fire procedure al all, some guests were evacuated from their rooms, We never heard any alarms or warnings, just heard from other guests the next day that there had been a fire.
Dread to think what could have happened if this had spread through the complex, absolutely utterly awful and a nasty dangerous episode in what was, from the point of view of this “accommodation” a totally disappointing holiday.
Luckily there is a tractor and trailer that takes you to the beach, although in which century this was Knocked together, it is not clear, what frequently happened though, is that there was not anything like enough room inside this trailer for the guests that wished to flee the complex and frequently many were left behind and had to get taxis.
There is another complex closer to the beach where we chose to spend most of our time other than on the beach, despite having paid for the “all inclusive” it was far preferable to buy drinks and food in another place than to be subject to the many privations of the Bouginvilla.

I stayed at this hotel last year with my husband and daughter and I would never go back. The rooms are very basic and not that clean. Food is average, pools are ok but some of the guests around them puts you off using them we ended up going to the beach to escape. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We are just back from this apart-hotel, we arrived on the 16th June for 2 weeks all inclusive for a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children aged 9 & 10.... The complex it's self is very large, lots of apartments that all look the same... on arrival we went to reception to check in, we were given our room key and a map to show the location of our room, we were fortunate to arrive during the day as trying to find our room was an experience! After being there a few days we witnessed many people going around in circles trying to find theirs, we did assist a few families try to locate their rooms. I think the hotel should employ one or two porters to assist new arrivals... It would make it less stressful for new arrivals especially when they have small children in tow.. Ok now my review of our stay at Boogievilla, we stayed in a one bedroomed apartment, the kitchen area was not somewhere I would have prepared food, the cupboards were all chipped the white Formica was peeling from them! Great place for germs to breed..the fridge on the outside and top was filthy and all down the side of it. Another breeding ground for germs, the bathroom had black mildew all around the tiles...yet another breeding ground, I understood why it was like that after my first week, the maids only came in 3 times a week, Monday, Wednesday and Fridays and when they do, they only make the beds and change the towels.

Our experience of the restaurants, because the complex is so large and having many visitors, we made a point of being one of the first in there, well...... Im glad we did...because the food was always only Luke warm, I would have hated going for breakfast, lunch and dinner half an hour into it, I'm sure the food would have been stone cold...

The pool areas of the complex... All salt water and freezing cold...The main pools at the front of the complex are very busy, so if you wanted a sun bed you had to be up very early to have your towels down.. We did witness people putting there towels out after they came in from either the evening entertainment or the local pubs... Although the hotel has a policy about putting your towels out at night, they didn't implement it that we seen until our last couple of days. Cleanliness of the pool!!! Ha ha On our forth or fifth day some lovely soul decided to empty their bowels in one of the pools, which I may add filters in to the children's water park feature... The pool was closed for an hour so that the maid could fish it out with a fishing net.. I'm sure you would all agree that the pool should have been emptied and sterilised... Needless to say we never ventured back into any of the pools at the front of the complex for the rest of our 2 week stay, we chose to go to the back of the complex next to the big top tents, one large pool and was child's pool, both chlorine and slightly warmer than the main pools.

Also in our first week the hotel had burst water pipes, which left us with barley a trickle or no water at all for 2 to 3 days... Not a happy family at all....

Our last week at 1am in the morning I was woken by the sound of a siren, not knowing what it was I woke my partner, we both went out on to the balcony to see many people running up and down, not knowing what to do, the siren was in fact the fire alarm, we shouted to people down below to ask what was happening, to be told that a fire had broke out in the laundry building, we went back into our rooms to look for the hotels fire procedures..... Guess what!!! They didn't have any!!!! Nothing on the apartments doors, as you would normally find in most hotels.... Getting slightly worried, because I have 2 little girls, I call main reception to find out where to assemble, to be told I didn't have to worry because it did not affect our block... We did find out the following morning that a couple of fellows tried to tackle the fire with the fire extinguishers and water hose that were close the the laundry building... No prizes for guessing this one!!!! They didn't work, not the extinguishers or the hose....

The only thing I would say about this hotel that was good, was the entertainment team, they put on a great show every night, although very repetitive, it was fantastic if you had kids from the ages of 3 to 7 year olds, for the older kids it was slightly boring.....

All in All I wouldn't waste your money going to this hotel....especially if you like the beach, because its a 25 minute walk, they do put a free train on but it only runs every half an hour and the driver isn't the friendliest, our girls though he was rather scary and they are not easily scared, they both train in martial arts.. So that says something to me... Rating out of 10 would be a 1.....

Room Tip: Don't go to this hotel.....
