“Hiking Lite”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

Hiking around beautiful scenery, lots of animals including bears to be seen & the possibility of your own bbq half way round. A big death slide for the brave & a Birds of Prey show as well. A good day out.

“A walk in some interesting natural environment but only if you are able bodied.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013 via mobile

The setting is interesting in itself but the specimen birds and animals were in poor conditions, particularly the brown bears. The mountain spring bathing pools at the end were welcome and we made good use of those. Not great value all in all, the facilities are tired and the information boards need reviewing and more coherent translation. That said, it was enjoyable to get out and see more of the natural beauty of the island.

“A walk in the 'forest'”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

Don't take this to be a walk in an animal reserve. It's a pleasant walk sometimes going up and sometimes down among fresh vegetation. Animals are scarce and I would expect it to be more spectacular doing the winter months when the waterfalls would be greater although even during the hot summer they were flowing. The waterfalls in the middle of the park although not as big as one might expect were large enough for a few people at the same time and provided an extremely refreshing break from the sun. I don't think any public transport is available as I went by car and there's a long road from the main road to enter the site.

“Day in Paradise - Not.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

One of our party having mobility problems and another having breathing problems we asked over and over if the trip was suitable and were assured that it was a gentle walk through nature reserve and breath-taking scenery. OH NO. not for the faint hearted. The terrain was up hill, mainly natural steps which were very uneven and some quite high, handrails were not very good the the wildlife was virtually non existent in fact I saw 3 bears a peacock 2 donkeys. Scenery was average. the BBQ we had to cook ourselves on a very hot day not a very nice thing to do, food was good though. Our Guide EVA was excellent and stayed with us most of the time. She also fetched and carried Sangria and bread for us as we could not make it up any more steps. The )Pools would have been lovely but again up steps to reach them. the bird show was disappointing only two Birds of Prey were available to see.
This would be an excellent trip for Teens and those who are fit. Definitely not for those with mobility, breathing problems. Not suitable for Pushchairs or young children, Wheelchairs. Footwear needs to be sturdy and suitable for rough terrain walking, not flip flops. We could not make the walk down to where our coach was a car had to be sent for us.
No Frills excursions need to make sure staff know what sort of a trip it is and alter the information contained in the brochure.
Having been on lots of trips with No Frills this is one I will not go on again. Despite being very disappointed we did have a laugh with other trip goers who helped to Jolly us along and all credit to our guide Eva who was brilliant. She is a credit to the company.

“Dangerous site”

un-safe walkways and bridges - the wood on bridges, across ravines was rotten. Miserable conditions for brown bears and animals generally looking unwell
