Just returned from a 1 week last minute break (6th - 13th Sept).
Originally chosen on the back of reviews on here I was on arrival initially gutted with the Hotel, location and surroundings however as this was a last minute quick getaway and not a holiday as such that soon passed as after a trip to Port Colom at the end of August this was only a quick tan topper that only cost £400 Half Board all in with flights.
Transfer 68 euros each way pre booked with Taxicab Mallorca took around 35 mins - 40 mins.
I was half board (not realised when booking) and the food was a let down but I managed to eat each evening without feeling the need to eat out. However I would state that if I had booked as All inclusive I would have been devastated at the lack of choice and general standards.
Restaurant buffet doesn't have much choice and the place has a real get in, eat and get out feel to it so not for those who like to dine, relax and draw it out.
Room was small but clean and cleaned daily - air con was spot on and as this was just a base to sleep and shower in suited me fine........tv was tiny portable and no English bar the news. Fridge in the room was a bonus for keeping drinks cold.
Hall carpets have seen better days but I only walked on them to get to and from my room and as such it didn't bother me.
Entertainment at the Hotel is noisy in the rooms however is all wrapped up by 11 ish so wont keep you awake all night.
Clientele was as I had read mostly German and Russian however this suited me as I can't stand English people on holiday as I'm usually embarrassed to be from the same cloth so for me was great.
Pool was a bit dire but I suppose ok for an adult to dip in for a cool down but no good really if you wanted a swim or for kids.
The beach which was a 1 minute walk away was great and if you turn right and go over the bridge heading towards playa muro you avoid the hoards of English for a more quiet experience.
The resort is everything that is usually wrong with resorts catering for Brits and is a bit of a "mutant mile" from the Hotel to the Harbour with endless shops selling the same trash, Amusement Arcades, Chinese Restaurants, Kebab Shops (with families sat outside having their evening meal of donner & chips - WTF ???), English, Irish and Scottish Bars (full to the brim with pint drinking Brits wearing respective football shirts watching Eastenders on the big screen !! - both funny & sad to see), and Pizza, Steak Houses and KFC, Burger King & Pizza Hut.
Alcudia Old Town (5 euro each way by Taxi) is beautiful and much classier / Balearic with Restaurants, Bars and Shops however if the above appeals to you you'll hate it.
To summarise - Great for a quick cheap low budget get away if using as a place to sleep and wash only but you'd be devastated if this was your main holiday.
Prob best for older couples and singles looking for a base close to the beach.
